SOURCE: Harman/kardon avr 247 no audio or LED display on the reciever

I've had the exact problem. HK in the states is no help, you need to deal with a company in Montreal (Jan Industries). Regular techs are unable to fix it without schematics that only authorized dealers have and the manufacturer. This problem happened to me just after 2 years and outside warranty. I've bought a Yamaha today.

SOURCE: I have a Harmon Kardon

I have this exact setup. 901s are my Mains.

The AVR247 has PreOuts on all of the channels.. No jumper to remove either. Just get a power amp or two and place the 901 EQ between the AVR247 and the Power Amplifier.

SOURCE: how do i connect my avr 247 to panasonic plasma

I'm sure the unspecified TV's manual specifies that piece; and the AVR's manual explains the various options depending on the TV.

No need to program a brookstone universal touch screen remote to the receiver. “If so how please?”
Just google 'denon app download' will get help.
Try to download "denon app for Android" (denon remote app) to control the amp .

Remote doesn't operate receiver

ok to first check the obvious things. you are using the standard remote that came with the unit i can assume, and you've tried a different fresh set of batteries, and there is nothing blocking the receivers remote sensor or the remotes output sensor. If you have a smart phone there is an app for Denon AVR's that allow you to use your phone to control the unit assuming you also have a home network that the AVR is connected to.
If everything else works with the app you may just have a faulty remote, hard to test without trying it on another persons same model AVR

720p output doesn't work

The problem might be that the set can not handle the change in signal. Try setting the AVR-247 to 720P first then turning on the set. Or manually set the TV to receive 720P then change the AVR. TI believe that you have a connectivity issue where the two units are not speaking the same language at the same time. Update this with your results and please post the TV make and model.
Thanks,
Dan
