I want to use one of the new maintenance plug in analyzers on my 2004 Element. But where do I plug it in?

You just loosen the center bolt to "unsqueeze the rubber plug".

Bear in mind that the guys at autozone were delivering news papers two weeks ago and the generic analyzer they use costs less than $45.00. It is a 2004 Honda, you can spend a buck on it. Take it to a real shop with real mechanics and have them put a real analyzer on it.

The most common reason for an engine light to come on is a bad oxygen sensor. There can be many reasons for the light to come on. Most auto stores will plug in an engine analyzer and read the engine codes for free. At that time, they can also turn off the light. Spark plugs usually are very simple to do, however some vehicles are hard to reach the spark plugs. It depends on your comfort level. If you prefer to not go to a mechanic, then maybe a neighbor would be willing to help?
