My malfunction indicator light has been on for the past couple of weeks. I just replaced all the spark plugs and coils about 6 months ago because my light was coming on then. I took it to my local autozone...

Bear in mind that the guys at autozone were delivering news papers two weeks ago and the generic analyzer they use costs less than $45.00. It is a 2004 Honda, you can spend a buck on it. Take it to a real shop with real mechanics and have them put a real analyzer on it.

Check engine light came on and I have done all maintenance on the car. I opened and shut the gas cap but the light still stays on. What do you think the problems it. The car runs great and drives like a...

The most common reason for an engine light to come on is a bad oxygen sensor. There can be many reasons for the light to come on. Most auto stores will plug in an engine analyzer and read the engine codes for free. At that time, they can also turn off the light. The stores motivation for reading your codes is to sell you the parts to fix it. A bad oxygen sensor will allow the car to run normally , only your gas mileage may suffer. Anyway let the car tell you what is wrong with it.

2004 vette, I have an engine analyzer module,

It should be right near the steering column under the dash. They are usually easily accessible -- I've never known GM to hide them. It may be behind a trim panel.

Spark plug replacement

Spark plugs usually are very simple to do, however some vehicles are hard to reach the spark plugs. It depends on your comfort level. If you prefer to not go to a mechanic, then maybe a neighbor would be willing to help?
