On the motor where the clutch is you will see thge large pin with a nut on it, as you press on the pedal the pin engages with the motor, if you loosen the nut and unscrew the pin bit by bit and try the machine you will get to a point where you will have absolute control on the speed.

SOURCE: Does The Juki 8700 sewing machine have a automatic Thread Triimmer

final answer about this questionhello all
in case of normal machine you need to add many parts to convert from manual to auto thread trimmer ( need electronic motor with control - auto thread trimmer mechanic components - hook - feed dog - etc.... ) it's very difficult to change from normal to auto thread trimmer.

Juki Lu-562 breaking, fraying thread. The tread will fray and eventually break a lot. Is there anything else besides a different size needle or burrs on the foot plate for foot feed?

Be sure that you are using only fresh, good quality thread. Old or bargain bin thread will fray easily. Does the thread have little hairs (fibers) sticking out? If so, get rid of it. Try a different type of thread, ie polyester thread. (FWIW, Coats & Clark used by a stand-by, but it is a lesser-quality thread these days.) Be sure to use the same thread in the bobbin--polyester thread will tend to cut cotton. Try flipping the thread spool over so it feeds off in the opposite direction. Make sure the machine's bobbin area is clean of any lint or debris. The tension may be too tight. The thread may be mis-threaded or the thread is restricted somewhere, ie wrapped around a thread guide or the spool pin. Be sure the thread is running through the thread guide immediately above the needle. Remove the thread and rethread from the beginning. You might try a different type of needle, ie top-stitch needle. Top-stitch needles have a larger scarf that will protect the thread as it pierces the fabric multiple times before forming a stitch. A Top-stitch or Metafil needle has a larger eye to accommodate bigger thread. Are you sewing unusually coarse fabric? It is abrasive and could be causing the excessive fraying.

If the fraying continues, there may still be a burr somewhere.

How do I stop my Juki DDL-8700 machine from skipping stitches?

set up on quilting table? wheres the oil pan?? if your machine sews fine straight and skips on curves i think you are lifting the presser ft as you make the turn. theres nothing wrong with the machine. you could always change the needle which is always the first thing when you encounter a sewing problem.

Why wont my Juki DDL-8700 form a stitch?

machine is out of time and u probably have burrs on the hook since you broke the plate with a needle probably from pulling fabric and bending the needle. you instruction manual will tell u how to time machine and its really very simple. all u have to do is take off feeder plate, loosen the 3 screws that hold the hook then lower the needle with the wheel until the needle just starts to rise. bring the loose hook point to i/16 " fron the needle and tighten hook screws. machine must be tilted back to do this whole operation. it helps to have a short screwdriver to tighten the hook screws. remove burrs with lite emory paper stroking in the sale direction as the hook.

My juki 8700 h frays thread while trying to sew

Hello Daniel, I suggest you start with a new needle. Back off the needle thread tension and the bobbin thread tension to a minimum and see how it sews. If it does not ravel the thread, you can increase the tensions until you acquire the stitch you want.

I have an 8700 juki industrial machine and as I'm sewing the thread will not catch on the bottom bobbin. I'm frustrated.. It was fine the last time I've used it.

machines do not just go out of time. Is the top threaded correctly. did u miss threading thru the take up arm or take up spring change needle too.
