I experienced the same problem after a week.
The only way to reset the player after freezing was to remove the battery. However starting up again resulted immediately again in freezing of the player (presenting logo, without any further action).
After having removed the battery and not turning the player on again, I inserted the player into the PC USB slot. The PC recognized the player as a memory stick only. (inserting the player in frozen condition did not result in recognition).
Using the right mouse button, I selected windows formatting and formatted the player (select FAT32 file system).
Everything is removed including the drivers for the MP3 player. Now the player is officially downgraded to a memory stick.
The driver for the player was still installed, but it did not recognize any MP3 file, which was actually stored in the memory (visible and playable via windows media player).
I downloaded from
www.trekstor.de the driver and tools download and installed it on my PC.(

After installation an option becomes available via the start menu for "firmware update".
Upon selection a toggle for "formatting" is available.
Selection of formatting results in cleaning up the player and reinstallation of the MP3 player software.
The installed firmware version 2.620.573 is degraded to version 2.620.572, but I don't mind, since the sound volume is improved, while the player functions fine.
So therefore I would advice anyone to follow these steps to enjoy the player more ;-)
