This is easy, really but you never stated what PCs
makes and models.
nor what UPS you have, I've worked on UPS in 911 centers, yes, monsters.

rooms full of huge batteries, yes.
but in your case it's called a power budget.
there are 2 things
1: TOTAL WATTS. (demand)
2: AND RUN TIME NEEDS, 1 MIN , 1 HOUR OR WHAT?

What I do is buy a watt meter, (or ac amps and do the simple math)
then measure all PCs power needs.
add them up and buy a UPS with 2 times that.
when power fails turn off the PCs, in the safe way.
the manual for each UPS made (RTM read it?)
shows watts demanded and hours run time.
that be all you need right there.
also what country are you in.
some country's have brown out conditions, not just failure.
and very tricky that is for any UPS to work right, (some can)

amps demand is here (x120v = watts (VA)
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4416D14488&Description=ac%20ammeter&cm_re=ac_ammeter-_-9SIA4416D14488-_-Product

to use such a meter,
we break out the AC black wire.
and clamp on only on this black hot wire, it the meter will not work.

I have this device, or make one by hand. (1 plug,1jack 3 wires)

How many pc's can be connected to a ups

hello KHAN

this is easy ,just simple math. (or touch of ohms laws)

NO PC stated, Nor monitors., maker and models.

no UPS stated. maker and model

each PC as a watts rating (we measure it)
then each UPS has total power rating
then there is RUN time.
what run time do you wish,? 1min. 1 hour, 1day? what?

the manual for your UPS covers this.
but if 10 PC used 100watts you need at least 1000Watt UPS.
10 times 100 = 1000 math.
but the run time will be short.
To gain run time longer, RTM read your UPS manual and read the page called RUN TIME at a given load in watts.

the whole purpose of a UPS is run time at a AC power blackout.

An alarm goes off when it is switched on

The UPS battery is ,most likely, dead or dying. Replace battery or remove the battery and use the surge protector side of the UPS. It's often less expensive to buy a new UPS, the batteries are almost as much as the new UPS.

My pc restarts when there is a power failure, even if the ups is functioning..

Then you don't have the computer's power plug connected in the correct side of the UPS or the UPS in not working correctly and needs to be returned.

How many pc's can be connected to an sps?

The limit does not depend on the actual number of PC's that can be connected to a UPS. The limit is based on the total power consumption required by the PCs and the power supply rating of the UPS device.
You can add the power consumption of all the PCs based on the number of watts (or amps) listed on a label on the back or side of each PC and compare it to the maximum load specified for the UPS unit.

My PC is geting switch off when Power flatcutations come, even ups is connected and no back up comes from UPS, after that UPS takes >4 seconds to switch to mains supply.

A four second transfer time is way too long by at least an order of magnitude. There is no way the power supply in a PC can maintain for that long a time.

If you are in a real critical environment I would recommend going to a UPS which runs continuously and runs off a battery which is charged whenever utility power is available. That way there is no transfer time.
These offline units are harder to find however.

I suspect your UPS system is defective.

How to charge ups for pc's

Your PC connection must always come via UPS, and your UPS will always keep charging.

UPS Power cable should be connected to DC, and your PC power cable should be connected to UPS.

And this way your PC will always be safe.
