It's not the motor it's the unit in the middel that works the clock it self. I have the same problem. When the clock passes the hour it is supose to send a signal to start the motor. There are two tiny pices metal that are supose to contact each other on the hour and they break off easy.
You have to replace the clock unit and reconect the two black wires.
Try by passing it. The two black wires that come from the clock unit. Cut them and touch them together. Make sure the light sencer on the front is not covered.

IF I GATHER CORRECTLY , YOUR CLOCK HAS TWO BATTERIES, ONE AT BASE AND ANOTHER ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT. THE ONE ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLOCK'S FUNCTIONALITY AND I THINK THE BATTERY AT BASE IS FOR THE ROTATING BALLS ( PENDULUM ). SO OPEN UP THE BACK IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO, AND REPLACE THE BATTERY. CAREFULLY THOUH AS THERE RE TWO SCREWS ON TOP AND A SNAP AT CENTER BOTTOM WHICH YOU COULD EASILY BREAK IF YOU DO NOT DO IT WITH CARE. OPEN UP THE SCREWS FIRST AND GENTLY USING A SCREW DRIVER PUSH BACK ON THE SNAP HOLE TO FORCE IT UPWARDS AND INWARDS. IF NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE THEN WE ARE LOOKING AT TWO DIFFERENT CLOCKS.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

SOURCE: I have a WALTHAM DOLPHIN
The actual Waltham company went under in 1954 or 1955 I'm not sure who is actually making these. Good news is if you contact your local Sears store they do sell these exact model clocks. Usually someone in the department will just open a box and look at the manual for you. They may even have a spare one or be able to let you know how to get one.
