Try reducing top thread tension. If tension already at minimum then it may be necessary to increase bobbin tension. This usually is not necessary so let me know results of reducing top thread tension.

How do you retime a machine? My machine will miss stitches ot completely break the thread. The top thread misses a lot of stitches.

For embroidery, and zig-zag, and because the needle makes side movements, it needs more needle thread.
So try to keep you needle thread not very tight,
and tight up your bobbin case tension more, so that the two threads meet under the meterial.

The fact that your machine is turning hard says you still have some thread inside the machine that is binding up and activating the safety device. It must turn easily before it will work properly again.
Sometimes the machine must be disassembled to remove these threads.

I have a brother 770pe and the bobbin color is white and the thread color is green, but the embroidery comes out white. What do I do?

The surface of the embroidery is often a combination of the two threads. The bobbin thread is intertwined with the top spool thread to make the design. Easy fix: make sure the bobbin thread is the same color as the top spool thread.

My brother pe770 is allowing bobbin thread to show on top sporadically which makes the stitching look like it is speckled with white. I have adjusted tension..cleaned and changed everything.

Shelia,

when sewing these parts of the design, (small stitches? ) load your bobbin with the same top thread. Just match the top thread color, and done! No more white bobbin thread in the topside of your designs.

Why does the bobbin keep showing up on top of the embroidery? I have changed the bobbin, I have rethreaded the top thread, I have changed the needle, I have cleaned the bobbin area. How else can the...

Loosen the top tension a little or tighten the bobbin tension ever so slightly. If that fails you can always color the bobbin threads with a magic marker the same color as the embroidery thread. You might go to Superior Thread's web site and try some prewound bobbins. They are worth their weight in gold. Dr. Bob knows all about all kinds of thread and is very good about answering questions. I think some of his Thread University videos are available too.

Stitching trouble

Here is a trouble shooting chart - http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elprojects/SimpleProduct_ELP.aspx?CS_ProductID=PR1238&CS_Catalog=Elprojects

I would start with cleaning (see maintenance section of the user's manual).

This has to be done more often with sewing/embroidery machines that have a drop-in bobbin.

Be sure to use bobbin thread for machine embroidery.

Always thread the machine with the presser foot up. This will insure the thread is seating into the tension control.

When emroidering, the thread from the bobbin is showing through on the top embroidered pattern. Any suggestions

Make sure to use bobbin thread for machine embroidery, it is heavier and pulls the top thread slightly to the back of the design.

You could loosen the tension or use a double layer of stabilizer.
