try disconnecting power supply and removing battery as well then replace both and try again.Is it possible there was a power interruption while update was downloading. have you tried to access the bios on startup (press f9 at start of startup until it goes to bios)and see if all settings are ok
make sure there is no disk in cd rom drive if there remove it and also check the amber led in front panel which is indicating the problem still if you are not able then open it and check the ram. And the power connector in motherboard and also the cmos battery or reset the bios.
