Look at the panel and it will tell you what the flash code mean .
I THINK it mean roll out switch but every make is different with their code .
If it is the roll out switch then you may have a bad heat exchanger

SOURCE: No heat, trouble shooting light has continious flash.

There is a vacuum sensor on most units tied from the exhaust gas fan to the sensor. Does the unit try to start? If the unit's exhaust fails to pull the switch it will turn off after about 30-45 sec after starting. "IT" thinks it's not exhausting and stops to keep from overheating. Do you have this exhaust fan and rubber hose to sensor? Can you see if that fan is turning on start?

SOURCE: The furnace burners won't stay lit

Could be a couple things. First and easiest is to check your intake combustion air supply. If it is blocked by anything or just not enough flow, it will put out the flame. Next would be the flame sensor, usually a temperature probe near the flame front. If it's not reading an increase in temp within a pre-programmed time, it will kill the flame. It can be checked with a multimeter.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Carrier Weathermaker gas 8000 will not ignite

Your hot surface igniter may be bad. It may be cracked which would prevent it from starting the burner flame.

How to light pilot on Dayton furnace and then start furnace

If this is a standing pilot system, turn the gas valve to pilot position. push in the knob & hold while lighting pilot...keeping holding knob down for a minute... this will pick & hold the gas valve. Let go of the knob & see if the pilot stays lit, if it does, then turn the knob to on position & the furnace should start if there is a call for heat from the thermostat

Rheem furnace problem wont stay lit

You need to see what it does. Does it light at all? will the pilot stay on? If lights but wont let you release the knob then thermocouple is bad. I
If it is electric start then watch the series of events. enducer fan motor starts, element heats up, gas lights but shuts off after 1 second. 5 seconds 1 minute and so on. Also your computer board on the furnace will flash a code indicating a problem. count the flashes and read the panel on the furnace for help it should give a description of the the errors.
all depends on the age and type of unit. respond if you have more questions .

if you can use a meter check for 24 volts at the valve when you call for heat. If you have 24 volts and no burners then the valve is bad, if you do not have 24 volts then another safety is locking out the valve

Fault Code on Dayton Gas Furnace

This happens when the furnaces tries to light to many times and doesnt succeed. If you stand in front of the furnace while it is coming on, you will be able to hear the problem. If its an electronic start, there will be a clicking sound, followed by the gas valve opening to start it. If it has a pilot light, make sure it is lit, then listen for the gas to come out, it will make a hissing sound. If no gas is coming out, first double check to see if the gas is turned on to the unit, if it is, then its possibly the gas valve. Oh, if it is electronic, and you hear gas, but dont see a glow inside the furnace, or no glow or gas, it could be the ignite. Hope this helps.
