The only thing you can do is send back to Nikon for repair, that is expensive.

SOURCE: The auto focus is not working on my Nikon D50

I assume the AF/M switch on the body is set to AF as well? This has not been mentioned but the D50 has two drive systems for AF.

SOURCE: Auto-focus isn't working

Try checking your settings for the type of shot you are taking and for the type of focus......
type of shot is the dial on the top, and then:
1) menu, metering
and also check your autofocus mode
2)menu, autofocus; try the single autofocus, it might be set to continual

Also, you could try updating the firmware in your camera. You do this through the Nikon website.

SOURCE: nikon coolpix s630, lens error, blurry, ticking sound

The following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty:

SOURCE: Nikon coolpix S3000 won't take a picture when the

Assuming you have new batteries and the camera lens cover is opening when turned on. Try switching to any mode other than automatic, turn off the flash, and press the shutter button. Many cameras have a safety feature that prevents the flash capacitor from charging if the case is opened. This is to lessen the chance of electric shock. They usually use one or two of the screws along the perimeter of the camera to complete a circuit that lets the processor know that the case is closed. Verify that all the screws are in place along the perimeter of your camera, and that there are no gaps along the perimeter seams. If you're missing a screw, try using one of the others to replace it.
If they're all there, next thing to check is the batteries. The brand that you're using may have reached its shelf life, or just may not have sufficient power to charge the flash capacitor. Try a better brand, or better yet rechargeable NiMH batteries.
If the above didn't help, then the flash tube or its circuit is probably at fault. In this case, would then recommend professional repair. This repair is somewhat difficult, requires some soldering, has some danger of electrical shock, and goes beyond what I'd like to describe here

Testimonial: "Many thanks, the camera is fairly new but just out of warranty. I have tried all your suggestions but still no luck. Off to he repair shop!"

I have Nikon coolpix L110 and when there is any movement it is blurry

Unfortunately I have seen this happen on the newer models of Nikon compared to the older ones when pictures were crisp. Set the camera to a higher shutter speed , try not to use auto. If you are using auto then press down and let the focus come to stay before you click on. I think there is a delay for the focus to come on which makes it a little out of focus. So hold button midway let the green come on in the screen to pressit to click.
Your pictures will come corrrect now.

Well a few years ago I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 4600 4MP Digital Camera and everytime I try to take a picture the AF light flashes red. Why is that?

Hello Winniethe383,
AF stands for "Auto Focus", When you are clicking a snap, the camera is trying to bring the subject into focus and the Red light blinking is to show the status that the camera is busy Focusing.
Please let me know in case you need any further details and I would be glad to assist you further :)

Blurry pictrues in coolpix s51 after droping it

Send the camera to the camera doctor. Your focusing drive has been knocked out of alignment. Due to the impact damage, there might be more problems than just the focusing.

He is a friend of mine, he can fix your camera cheaper than sending it to Nikon and probably faster too.

Nikon coolpix s510 keeps turning on

See if there is a way to check out the power button. If the contacts are stuck in on position or unstable it is possible that the unit is behaving erratically. Try cleaning it out chemically if possible.
