If you have a red light all the time, try resetting the router once. that could help. But then, why are you trying the phone jacks. You should be using a ethernet cable ( RJ45 as to the RJ11 Phone cable )
Thanks

Will not power on. The red standby light stays lit. The green light shows up for 2 seconds only when first plugged in and then goes back to red.

Solutions:
Check and Try
1. Pull out the flex cable attached power supply to AMP PCB. Check power ON of unit.
2. Pull out flex cable of the ROM
Check Power ON of unit
Probably AMP PCB doesn't work

Plantronics cs50 red power light is not lit

Sorry to hear about your bad luck there. If a hard reset does not work and its not simply the power button is not correctly aligned (try fiddling the pressure up and down if it is loose) then it's likely the device has failed. Even though it's survived other power outages it's still entirely possible the most recent one has caused this failure. I've seen failure of electronics from operating on unstable voltages from solar panels and less than perfect inverter systems and it's always the case that "it's been working fine up until now!"

WE HAVE JUST HAD A LIGHTENING STRIKE AND ALL POWER IN THE HOUSE WENT OFF WHILST MY ASPIRE E 700 WAS POWERED AFTER THE POWER CAME BACK POWER LIGHT WAS LIT BUT COMPUTER WONT START UP WITH START SWICH

Unplug everything from the laptop, remove the battery and let it sit for 5 minutes. Replace the battery only, not the power brick and see if it will boot.
Does the power brick have a solid green light? Flashing? Red?
If it will not boot off the battery or power brick it may be fried.

SWR WorkingPro 400 watt head - no sound, Preamp Clip red LED is continually lit, Limiter green LED continually lit - fuse is perfect. It worked for a few minutes, then just stopped.

Since the PA clip is not lit, the problem seems to be up front...

First thing is to look for a bad cable as a broken ground could be putting hum at a clipping level. First thing, test this by unplugging all inputs. If the clipping light goes out, then you have bad cables or a ground loop.

Try sending a line level signal into "Effects return" to test if the power amps are OK.

If the clip light is still on, turn all gain controls down to minimum. If light is still on then take unit for servicing.

My D-Link DIR-625 is constantly toggling between conencted/&not

it's possible, i would try moving the computer to a diferent prot on the router and also pluging in a diferent computer, you could also have a bad cable. if it won't work with another cable on another computer then you will probably have to buy a new router. if it works with another computer you will probably need to replace your pc's network card. (though i would try reinstalling the driver first.)

-Orange light on Power-up button stays lit. -No Video, just black screen. using AGP Video card TNT 32mb / Model CT5823 I've replaced the battery, double checked the cables, Power supply is good. Gatew

This is typical of a failed power supply. Look on the back of the power supply, there may be a red switch for input voltage. Unplug the power cord, flip that switch a few times and then plug the cable in and try again. If nothing changes, see if there's a small black button on the back of the power supply. If there is, unplug the power cable and press the button and hold it for 10-15 seconds. If an LED flashes or turns on, then plug the cable back in and try again. If this all fails, replace the power supply.

Net work cable unplug

Hi.

The fact that the router has no lights lit, (not even the power light?) this means the router is burned out or defective. You did the right thing in trying it on a different power outlet. The router is definitely dead and the only solution here is for the library to get a new one.

PROBLEMS WITH MODEM

well.as far as i know, it really depends with what red light it is.if you're pertaining to the RED light for power, then it's an issue with your power adapter.make sure it's getting the right volts from your outlet.if this is already done, try to plug the modem in different outlets esp. your kitchen and bathroom outlets. if same thing occur, your modem might be defective.

for ethernet light, if it is red, just make sure that your cable is properly plugged in, if yes, unplug the other end of it from the back of your computer and plug it on the other port of your modem,(what we're trying to do here is making sure that your cable is working fine)..the ethernet light must be green if it's ok but if it wont change, replace the cable with a new internet cable. this should solve the prob.

if the DSL/broadband link light is red, there might be an outage on your area. most of the time, if this is red, the next light wont lit or red as well.

hope this is helpful.
