Switch the power off and release the outlet from the wall box and carefully draw it out to the extent of the wires and check it is wired correctly then turn on the power and again very carefully and using your trusty multimeter check that current is reaching the terminals behind the power outlet unit.

If power is present and the wiring is correct, replace the power outlet unit, though take a close look and check for the presence of a fuse in the unit before you spend money.

SOURCE: Bosch SHU3306UC dishwasher stopped

Make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Problems with a GFCI outlet (no voltage). GFCI

if your room is powered by one breaker you need only one gfci and it has to be hooked up correctly to protect the other outlets a new gfci will have a tape tag over the out side usually the top set of nuts the water in the panel is a major fire hazard i would fix this problem first your feed to the gfci may have shorted out in the wall between the breaker and the gfci if it is wired separate from the other gfci in that room one thing you can do to save calling an electrician is go to lows home depot or any electrical store and purchase a plug in tester they are inexpensive and easy to use it will tell you if wires are hooked up correctly backwards or if you have a short somewhere in the line this is the same little gadget that an electrical inspector uses to make sure new homes are wired correctly an outlet will still work even if some wires are incorrect in the circuit the outlet tester confirms all is good and safe

Electricity NOT A DRYER ISSUE< HOUSEHOLD

Hello!
The seven outlets and one overheard light are all hooked to one of your circuit breakers.
Modern electrical codes call for this formula (7 to a circuit breaker), and your description of your problem tell me your house/apartment is correctly wired.
Here's the fix.
Find your "fuse box" and open the door.
Look for a circuit breaker that is not EXACTLY lined up with all the other switches.
Turn that one off and back on again.
If you cannot see any circuit breakers that are not exactly in line with all the others, you will be needing to shut them all off and turn them back on one at a time until you can find the offender.
You may need to repeat this a time or two.
This should fix it.
If not, the next step is sort of dangerous, so you will need someone who knows about electricity.
If this doesn't work, the next step is to remove the square metal inner cover and look at all the circuit breakers to see if a wire has come out of one, perhaps next to the one that was shut off buy the repair person.
Be blessed.

Emerson 2.8 Cu. Ft. doesn't automatically turn on after power outage

Check breaker. Was there a surge of electricity when the power went out. This may be a simple fix. Sounds like the breaker is tripped. Test the outlet with a light to see that power is to it.

I have three upstairs bedrooms that are all on the same circuit. My sister tried to plug in something to an outlet in her bedroom and it seems that she jiggled the plug into the outlet and the power went...

I know this may have already been checked, but make sure that any gfci may have not tripped, and also, reset all the breakers if the gfci thing doesn't work... Trust me i know it is annoying but resetting all of the breakers almost always fixes the problem.

Curling Iron will not turn on.

Lots of interesting problems in the Shavers category :)
Make sure you plugged it in. (I know, seems like a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many times this is the cause of a problem!) If it is plugged in, and it still doesn't work, try plugging in a lamp or something else by which you can make sure the outlet is operable. If the outlet works, return your iron or buy a new one. If the outlet doesn't work, try using a different one. Otherwise, you're going to have to get into fuses/circuit breakers, ets, or call an electrician. Good luck!

My de'longhi magnifica coffee maker trips the

Yes it is possible, but here is what you have to do first, try a different outlet, that is not on same circuit , another part of house, even garage. If it still trips breaker, then more than likely it's a machine problem that is causing this. If it doesn't trip, then you can put it back where it was, but then have to maybe move other items on that circuit else where if your fond on that spot for the machine. Espresso machine have a huge surge electric demand when on heat mode. Like all kitchens they have several out let's on same circuit , if you still want it in same area, then have to move other stuff to other outlets that don't share circuit. And no you don't want to up circuit breaker to larger breaker as wires might not be rated to handle larger breaker. Let me know if my idea works, thanks mike from fixya

Everstar mpm2-10cr-bb6 will not reset on power cord. light on reset doesn't light. seems like no power is getting to the unit.

Check the outlet that the unit is plugged into, to be sure that it is in fact, working. The circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel for that outlet, may have tripped. Also, the outlet may have interior damage or a loose wire connection. If the unit seems not to be getting power, one of the above is the problem. Try plugging the unit into another outlet in a different room.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Dehumidifier has stopped working...it appears to be electrical..no switches are working and no lights are on.

Check the outlet that the unit is plugged into, to be sure that it's still has power. If it doesn't, a circuit breaker for that outlet may have tripped. Or the outlet receptacle may have a loose wire. Try plugging the unit into another outlet that is not on the same circuit, as the one it's currently plugged into.

No power in the two bathroom electric outlets.

What do you mean protected, if they where ground fault they have a test button,or the breaker
can be a ground fault, but it is a lot cheaper to buy the outlets. Call someone that knows electric,
because you need to check to see which outlet has power coming from the breaker, because this one
is probably bad, which will not allow any power continue on to the next outlet. Just say you were
going to do this yourself , you need a tester to make sure power is coming to the outlet.

You could buy a ground fault outlet and a regular outlet, but you have to make sure that the ground fault
is wired from the breaker, the power from the breaker, then the wire that Leeds from the ground fault
to the other outlet will also be protected, one ground fault can protect two other outlets that are connected to it in what is called a series. Unless you have a multimeter to test what needs to be tested
you should ask someone that knows electric. If you have any more questions please post back as everyone is more than happy to help. I don't feel comfortable trying to explain to you how to replace
the outlets, it can be dangerous and I would not want you to get hurt just to save a few dollars.
