Backup your computer to the last time you updated it. You can do this by searching "restore" in windows or "backup" . After finding that, simply open it and follow the prompts provided to backup your computer to last update or major event in your computer.

Check the garbage bin on computer. If he's gone past that.. whoops. You might need someone to access your hard drive
An easy to use program called Recuva. I've used this with some success in the past. Understand that while you may be able to get a large percentage back (if the deletion was relatively recent) some will most likely be corrupt in some fashion. Good luck!

Since you are using Macbook, you can go to this program USB Flash Drive Recovery for Mac for help.
If you are running a computer with Windows, go to Data Recovery for Windows. It should help you out.
Note: before recovery, DO NOT save more files to the USB drive.

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.
Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
