I have a Tricity TSC09 6 litre Slow Cooker and I just love it its so handy, if your gone for even 10 hours it keeps your dinner warm after the cooking time runs out. I smashed the lid and was so gutted I tried for hours online to find a replacement lid with no luck. I went shopping and bought a very cheap 6 to 7 Quart or 6 to 6.5 litre Slow cooker / Crock pot of the same shape the removable pot and lid fit. I bought a cookworks, signature, 24 euro 6.5 litre oval dog standard slow cooker and the lid fit, now I also have a removable pot replacement as well just in case I smash that too. So happy I have my Slow cooker back again.
IF you press and hold the top two buttons for 10 seconds the display
will show a few numbers.. then press the bottom right button.. ours went
right back to F4 and the only thing we could find mentioned is that a
"sensor" was bad.. right out of the box this PC was JUNK.. awesome!
Russel Hobbs makes both a slow cooker and a pressure cooker - confusingly in Europe they call Slow Cookers pressure cookers. The only way to really tel is if there is a special lid with valves and locks (pressure cooker) not a glass or plain lid (slow cooker).
The manual basically says... This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, and WARM. W hen you plug the slow cooker in the display shows "0". When you press the "COOK TIME" button, the display should go from 0 to 1 to 2 to 3 etc. each time the "COOK TIME" button is pressed. If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the HIGH setting. If 7,8,9,or 10 hours are selected, the slow cooker will operate on the LOW setting. To start the cooking cycle, press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any tim, press the "ON?OFF" button. When the cooking cycle is complete, your slow cooker will automatically switch to the WARM setting. If the "ON/OFF" button is pressed when the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the WARM setting. If the "COOK TIME" button does not change the display numbers, unplug the slow cooker. Hold down both buttons and plug the slow cooker in and keep them pressed down for a count of 10. Release the buttons and the slow cooker should work now.
It's almost certainly due to atmospheric pressure. Warm it slightly and it will open.
I had the same problem with an underwater dive torch. Left Johannesburg (1000 metres above sea level) and went to Mauritius (10 metres above sea level) and I couldn't open torch!
I discovered this solution by accident. To get my crock pot to go to the "Warm" setting directly, I begin by pressing and holding the "Cook Time" button. Then, with the cook time button held down, press and release the "Off" button, holding it down for a second or so and then releasing it. Finally, lift your finger off the "Cook Time" button. Presto! The unit will be set on "Warm." So the key to this is to press and release the "Off" button WHILE the "Cook Time" button is being held down. Might take a couple tries before you get it, but then you'll see that it works every time.
Here is the manual for this cooker;
http://www.crockpot.com/manuals/38601-C_English.pdf
page E4 and E5 tells you details of programming/timer/temperature. Check through everything and see if you can figure anything out.
after cooking, the unit should automatically switch to warm mode, if it isn't doing this then unfortunately i think it needs a replacement control board - probably not worth doing.
If you want to give it a try then post again and we can try and source you the bits
Hope this helps :)
