Transfer kit is a sensitive and vital part of the printer. When it's worn out, it is advisable to replace it before continuing on printing.
Transfer kit if not replaced causes much more damage to the printer. Turn off and unplug the printer and let it cool down for a few minutes.
Open the front cover and push the lever that locks in the transfer belt and raises it carefully to remove it. Lift it gently on the side and slide it gently to completely remove.
Replace the transfer belt with the new one. Make sure to lock it safely before putting back the lid. Plug and turn on the printer

On the off chance if you are still getting troubles then call printer customer service number 1-888-597 3962 (Toll- free). Resource link: https://www.quickhelps.co/phone-number/epson/

SOURCE: Phaser 6100 - lever unlocking error

This printer is same as Samsung CLP-500. So the problem is the same: Contaminated transfer belt sensor.

Do as follow:
Lift transfer belt assy from printer(Drop down back door 90 degree, press white button, lift top cover and release 2 locking levers, grab handle, pull the belt unit out), turn upside down & rotate plastic roller until small clear "window" appears along one edge of belt. Clean both sides of clear window with cotton bud. on same side as window, remove 2 screws securing flimsy plastic cover to gain acess to sensor, (follow red/black wires)remove a screw and pull out "U" shaped sensor(light transmiter and receiver), cotton bud and blow away dust on slits on inner surfaces of sensor. Reassamble and everything should be ok.If not, senser may be too contaminated, clean slits vigorousley with cotton bud, or maybe you just need a new sensor.

The theory is that printer detect transfer belt by transmit light through the clear "window". If either window not clear or sensor is contaminated, light will not reach the receriver part of the sensor, printer will report such errors.

Good luck.

SOURCE: transfer belt errors

helped me and solved the lever and transfer belt. Actually it is the combined black toner cartridge and transfer belt. The side plate is about 3 inches long and has the two screws fixing it on. The sensor has a single screw fixing it, but in fact just looks like a black cover plate. Lever it out easilly at the screw end, not the other end which is impossible.

I just blew out the **** in the sensor, wiggled the white 3 pin connector, and since it has the look of a reflection based optical sensor, then I cleaned the belt along its edge with antistatic cleaner , ie tissue paper soaked and rotate the gear to move the belt round. There is a silver patch on the belt which passes the sensor once every revolution of the belt, and I gave this a particularly good clean as it is probably the only bit that matters.

Anyway, several black refills (hole and a bit of tape sealing it) later and the unit still works fine. Actually I always refill everything and just high pressure blow off the whole printer every so ofter.

Transbelt is a part replacement-plain and simple. Samsung sucks for this, they give you no warning and just shut down the printer. www.samsungparts.com

SOURCE: "Lever Unlocking Error" Message

Probably a bad connection between the transfer belt contacts and those inside the machine - clean any dirt/toner off them and make sure they aren't bent out of position and try again.

The machine cannot be operated and the error code <E000012> appears on the display.

Cause and Solution

The delivery feeder unit may not be installed correctly. Follow the procedure below to install the delivery feeder unit correctly. If the error code persists after the delivery feeder unit is installed correctly, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

Re-install the Delivery Feeder Unit
NOTE
  • You have to remove the delivery feeder unit and reinstall the delivery feeder unit correctly.
  • When you remove the delivery feeder unit, you have to turn the main power switch OFF.
  • Sending or receiving documents cannot be done when the main power switch is OFF or the power cord is disconnected.
  • If the main power switch is turned OFF, all jobs waiting in the print queue will be erased.
  • Documents received into memory and documents stored for delayed send will be retained for approximately 60 minutes after the power cord has been disconnected.

1. Turn OFF the main power switch and disconnect the power cord.

2. Open the front cover.

If you are using the stack bypass tray, close it before opening the front cover. Open the front cover gently holding the handle (A).

3. Push the levers (A) on both sides of the delivery feeder unit and remove the delivery feeder unit gently, holding it by the tabs (B).

CAUTION
Do not place any object on or touch the transfer belt (A) of the delivery feeder unit. You do not need to manually clean the transfer belt even when it is stained by toner, as the delivery feeder unit has a self cleaning function for the belt. Breaking the delivery feeder unit or damaging the transfer belt may result in misfeeds or deterioration in print quality.
4. Install the delivery feeder unit so that the protrusions (A) of the delivery feeder unit fit into the guides (B) and click into place.

5. Confirm that the triangle marks (A) on the delivery feeder unit are aligned with the triangle marks (B) on the machine.

6. Close the front cover.

Close the front cover gently holding the handle.

CAUTION
Be careful not to get your fingers caught.
7. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the main power switch.

If the error code persists after the delivery feeder unit is installed correctly, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

Replace belt CG

Set Belt CG The OPC belt cartridge needs replacement.

Replacing the Optical Photoconductor (OPC)
Belt Cartridge
Replace the OPC belt cartridge at least once every 12 months, or when
the control panel display indicates that replacement is necessary. The life
of the OPC belt cartridge for the T8106 is about 60,000 images (15,000
color pages), at a 5% toner coverage rate on letter-size paper.
1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Unlock the lever to open the front
cover. This releases the pressure on the
toner cartridges.
3. Unlock the lever to open the top cover
fully.
4. Pull the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers up until they unlock.

5. Pull the used OPC belt cartridge
upward and out of the printer carefully
to avoid spilling toner.
6. Discard the used OPC belt cartridge
Caution! Do not touch or wipe off any powder that is on the OPC belt, nor expose
the OPC belt to light.
7. Remove the two shipping pins from the
new OPC belt cartridge.
8. Remove the protective sheet that covers
the photosensitive belt.
9. Slide the new OPC belt cartridge downward
into both green lock-lever guides
and into the printer carefully.
10. Push the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers down until they lock.
11. Close the top and front covers carefully
until they both lock.

SAMSUNG CLP 500

The order iin which you open and close two of the covers is important, as there is an interlock between two of them. This can (and does) get damaged.

The toner access door is the first one you open, THEN the top cover (the one that gives access to the Transfer Belt and Drum.

Make sure the Drum unit is properly pushed into the printer, and that the Transfer Belt is lacated properly AND the two locking levers fot the Transfer Belt are in their locked positions PROPERLY.

THEN close top cover - you shouldn't need to force it.
Followed by the Toner access door.

Yes check the duplex door too !

If this fails it is likely to be a broken case part, or failed sensor.
