Macbook pro A1278 (Mid-2012 13") not charging

The charger is fine (tested with another macbook pro). The battery is new and charges well in another macbook pro. I would like to know what could be wrong?

SOURCE: Fuji Fine Pix Z5 battery won't charge

I looked up this question with the same problem and while the battery was placed in with the right side in, the three metal tabs weren't on the right side with the three metal chargers- so I had to spin it around the other way...i hope i'm explaining this right...now it's charging! I am so glad. This camera is excellent.

SOURCE: old john deere gator and battery new charger still will not move

Could be several things.  Your battery could be bad. After not being charged for a while, they do go bad- often. You may want to try a new battery along with your new charger.  You could also have a switch /connection problem. If you get a new battery and it still doesnt work, you may want to check the switches and wiring. It is not uncommon for the switch to go bad especially if it had been stored outside.

My macbook pro won't charge, why is the charger not working

make sure that the connection between the charger and macbook is clean.

If the charger lights up green and doesn't change to orange, then it may not be connecting. If it stays green, the battery might be dead or improperly inserted. It may need a different sized cord -- check for proper wattage.

Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist

This is hardware problem and not a software issue. Is the battery fully charged? Do you have the wall charger connected? If yes to both of those, you likely need a new logic board.
