I have a Casio Sport 2894, is there any way to mute the button sound? I’ve looked in the manual and can’t seem to find anything.

Press B to switch to the Timekeeping Mode. [SET Hold] will appear and the time offset value will flash. Press B nine times to display the button operation tone setting screen. Selecting [MUTE] causes a mute indicator to light and the buttonoperation tone will not sound.

SOURCE: casio protrek 2894

The battery does NOT need replaced.
The word "Open" on this watch means that the sensor inside the back of the watch has detected that that the back is open. I ended up having to repair this problem myself after a local watch repair guy told me he didn't want to mess with it. You'll have to get a micro-philips screwdriver and remove a few screws and pop the end caps off to get to your problem.
After you have removed the screws and end caps inside the back there's a small spring that pushes against a copper disk glued to the back of the watch. The problem is that Casio has used a crappy glue to hold this disk in place and it needs to be removed and reglued to the back in it's proper place with super glue. It's a pain in the **** but I have repaired mine by doing this. BTW...I have found a video or another help for this fix on line so I won't go too much into it. Do a Google search and you'll find the step by step process listed elsewhere.

I've used a toothpik wooden or like the dentist uses and clear form-a-gasket silicone and put that in place of the gasket. and assemble the watch.wipe off any excessive silicone (be care not to have any or as little excess as possible)and allow to dry and then make sure your watch operates correctly.

My casio pro trek 2894 is frozen it shows op en ontop and when i press the setting button it resets time to 12h00

Hi

Have you checked that all buttons when pressed come in and out easily?
Sometimes the little spindles that press the contacts inside the watch do not come out completely and remain "pressed" even if the button appears to be "out"
Clean the watch, with particular attention to the buttons area so they can move easily in and out. If this does not do the trick, open the watch with great care not to damage the threads on the plastic case and visiually inspect if the buttons travel easily in and out and that all springs if fitted are sound. Remove and replace the batteries with new ones (DO NOT use bargain batteries from that "auction site")
and reset the watch.Try again, if ok carefully clean the back seal apply a little vaseline to the top of the seal and close the case. DO NOT over tighten the screws as this will damage the plastic thread and the watch will not seal properly and will be likely to flood with moisture. Good luck

I have no sound on my casio baby g watch's alarm. The alarm flashes but there is no sound

It seems likely that the watch has been set to the "silent" mode and you should be able to turn it back on by using the "mode " button

If you haven't got instructions on how to do this, you can get instructions from the Casio web site.

Go to the casio web site "casio.com".

Select "support" and the "manuals",
watches;

Accept terms

Select "watch manual archive"

Read the number of the back of your watch and enter it into the search box

Hold down the "Adjust" button (top left) for three seconds. It won't adjust unless you hold the button down.

Press "Mode" (bottom left) to change what you're adjusting, seconds, hour, minute.

Press the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the number up and down.

Press "Adjust" again when you're done setting the watch.

To change date, alarm, alternate time, etc, press "Mode" to get to those functions before hitting "Adjust."

I hope that helps.
