Treadmill incline not working

The incline system may need to be calibrated. To initiate the calibration routine follow the steps below.

Step 1
Place the key into the machine. The key's slot is located on the bottom of the console, below the start and stop buttons.

Step 2
Press any of the incline buttons and then remove the key from the machine while the incline is changing. Pause for a few seconds and then put the key back into the slot.

Step 3
Wait as the treadmill automatically shifts to the highest possible incline and then descends to the lowest level. The treadmill should now be recalibrated.

Incline problem

All icon models are the same. The easiest way to incline calibration is to start the treadmill, push the incline up button and then after you release the button, remove the safety key. Replace the safety key and the treadmill should calibrate.
If that doesn't work, press the stop and speed up buttons and hold, then place the safety key in place. This will bring you to the speed/incline calibration. Press stop again. now press incline up. This will run the incline calibration.
You may need to remove the hood and manually with a drill lower the motor. Using a slot screwdriver bit, lower the motor a bout 50 turns and then try the procedure above again if necessary.

Nordic. Track incline won't work or calibrate

I have a NordicTrack C2155. Incline not working. There is a schematic inside. There are red, white, & black wires from the circuit board to the incline motor. Unplug the treadmill and have a licensed electrician construct a flying lead cord with a male spade on neutral and female spade plug on hot. Connect neutral to white and hot to where either red or black were connected. Plug in to see if the motor runs. Careful to remove power when the incline reaches its limit and reverse direction. If the motor runs in both directions, the motor is good. Follow the black two conductor wire to the circuit board and unplug from board. Check continuity across this switch. Run motor and this should toggle off and on. If all this checks out then the problem must be with the circuit board. On my treadmill, the schematic says that +5v should supply the sensor, but I only get +3.3v, which is TTL level. The drive motor sensor supply is +5v. The incline motor doesn't even show a sign of trying to run. Either the output transistor is burnt out or the low voltage caused an error so that it does not try to run the motor. Either way, I'm quite certain that a new controller board will remedy the problem.

When you turn on treadmill the incline goes all the way up and all the way down. Does nothing else.

First we need to do a calibration follow this procedure
Press the Stop and the Speed Up keys down while inserting the safety key.
Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, or the like. This means that it passes the EPROM test.
Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP BECAUSE YOU WILL GET AN ERROR MESSAGE IF THIS STEP IS SKIPPED. After completing calibration of incline, press the Stop key and then remove the safety key.
If the incline moves but you it will not operate normally nor calibrate, check the wiring from the incline sensor to the power board. If all looks normal, put it back in calibration and see if you see a blinking “- -” symbol in the incline window when you are calibrating. If not, the incline sensor is bad Call icon Fitness @ 800-999-3756, they may have the sensor or they tell you, you need to replace the incline motor

Treadmill is plugged, lights are on but does not work

The standard calibration procedure to calibrate an Icon treadmill is done by holding down the speed up and stop keys while inserting the safety key or putting the key in place (if magnetic). If your keypad is not responding, because your treadmill keypad has failed or the console computer has failed. In these cases, the keypad can be replaced in limited instances or the console has to be replaced.
Now if you are able to get in calibration mode then Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, This means that it passes the EPROM test. If it shows ff or 2f your upper console will need to be replace.
Next step if eprom passes: Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically.
DO NOT STAND ON THE WALKING BELT.Press the Speed Up key and hold it down until 85 is shown in the Distance window (some models may show the 85 number in another window). if you get the the number to 85 and the belt does not move , on the lower board you will see a like flicker that would be the speed control this tells you that the upper console and terminal cable is good ,but lower board defective.
