If you have Linux, the autodetect probably detected the new driver as a different network card. All you have to do is to reconfigure the card. What OS are you using anyway?

Could be hard drive or network? Use Insight Manager or event viewer for exact failure. If hard drive, reseat it. But, check the RAID 1st!.

Use http://localhost:2301 locally to access CIM. Or use the servername:2301 from another windows machine on same domain. You will need server Administrator password.

I cannot install windows 7,no disk seen are there drivers for raid smart array 5I for windows 7? DL 740 G1 , 8 x 2700Mhz+40GB ram , 4 x 73gb Raid 5

Not quite sure what your problem is but I would recommend getting Windows Server for a server like this. The HP site recommends the following OSes: Microsoft Windows 2000,
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter) ,
LINUX (Red Hat, SuSE) or Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Edition. It is unlikely Windows 7 will install on this 5 year old server.

Hi i get the following error when btying to bootin to windows ql2300.sys. I seen fixes but how do i fix if i cant get in to the os? p.s the server is running 2003 ent edition

Seems like a driver error, you must've installed a specific update from Microsoft for that driver, before attempting to install anything. Hopefully, you have kept backups of what was in the server on an external hard-drive or on a file-hosting website.

Existing We have Onboard 1* 10/100Base-TX adapter + 3 * 10/100Base-TX add-on card +2 * clic interface cards and We want to upgrade to 1gbps network switch what hardware need to be procured

Examine the server's documentation (support.hp.com) and look at the motherboard to determine what slots you have available and their interface protocol. (E.g. ISA, PCI, PCI-E)

Then go to a computer part vendor like CDW.com and search using the "network adapter" "gigabit" and the interface.

Better yet, give them a call and let them search for you.

Most important, when you find physically compatible adapter, make sure that there are drivers available for the operating system you are using.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Hello , HP Proliant Server Problem.

Use a different monitor and connect it directly to the server, if problem persist you have a problem with the systemboard or microprocessor.

DELL DL-380 G5 "could not allocate page table memory" GSS 2.5

First of all, Dl380 is an hP product.
Secondly your ghost version seems a bit old as ghost 14 is the latest version. Having said that the problem could be at two ends.
1. At the ghost side where your version doesnot contain NIC drivers for PXE boot and HDD drivers for imaging. To fix this you can try manually adding the drivers to the network boot or floppy boot diskette.
You can get the drivers from HP website or the PSP CD that came with the server.

Alternatively you can upgrade to RDP instead of GHOST, RDP is Symantec's offering sold by HP for imaging it's servers.

2. There's some problem with your NIC settings or card if you are trying to PXE boot.
If you are using a floppy drive/ usb HDD, check from BIOS if it is detected.
