SOURCE: What does F6 error code for Whirlpool microwave model XCK4640802 mean

The F6 code is listed as a problem with the MW relay. Here are the testing steps from the technical literature. The relay that is mentioned is a part of the control so if the problem continues you will need to replace the control.
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2.Check the cable to Relay 4903.
3. Check to see if the relay (4903 on relay electronic control) contact has welded closed.

4. Replace all parts and panels before operating.

5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.

6. If problem persists, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.

7. Replace electronic control.

8. Replace all parts and panels before operating.

9. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.

Good luck.

I have a one touch microwave & have misplaced the manual. The code F2 keeps coming up on the display. What does this mean?

F2 on a Whirlpool microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

Please reply back with your full model number from the tag in or on the unit so we can help you with an estimate or free DIY tips.
