SOURCE: LId to 6 quart crock pot shattered

I have a 5-quart crockpot that cracked across the bottom. I've been using the crockpot liners, and they seem to work very well. No leaks, etc., and food seems to cook just as well as before the crockpot cracked. The liners sure do make cleaning up a lot easier, too!

My durabrand crockpot was given as a gift this past Christmas 2007. The inside part cracked severely when I was trying to make a pot roast. Where do I contact these people to get a replacement. I have not receipt as it was a gift. Walmart does not have any in stock to replace the inner part. I tried several stores. I cannot find the company online to contact them for a replacement.

SOURCE: My Rival Crock Pot seems to cook a lot faster than

Probably, nothing. About 6 years ago the standards on these were changed, to increase low to 200 degrees instead of 180, high to 300. Things that took 6 hours can now take 4. If you are using older recipes, or recipes perfected in older pots, they will always overcook. You can check this by putting water in, covering, and checking with an instant read thermometer after 1 hour. If it is 200, there is nothing wrong with you or the pot.

Testimonial: "This makes a lot of sense. I am cooking a pot roast right now and reduced the time by a third so I'll see if that will work. Thank you."

Tried to make lamb shanks with a cook time of 6 hours on high and 6 hours on low. All the liquid evapored and everything burned. Pot lid was bouncing up by steam during cooking. What's wrong

It seem you may have cooked it too long... also one MUST keep an eye on the liquid level at least a few times during the cook. If you need this long a period it is suggested that you not use HIGH for all that time, try High for like 3 hours and the rest at simmer.

Need directions for presidents choice slow cooker

Heat intensity is warm, 1, 2, 3 (highest)
How to operate: Plug in. Set timer to amount of hours to cook. Press the SELECT button to scroll thru 4 settings - "warm", "1" (Low), "2" (Medium)", "3" (High). Once the desired cooking temp selected, press the "round circle" power button to begin cooking. The time display will now start to count down to "0:00" When the cooking time has been reached, the slow cooker will automatically go into "warm" mode for a maximum of 6 hours, then automatically turn off. NOTE: Not recommended using the WARM setting for more than 4 hours at a time. NOTE2: To stop the cooking process at any time, press the "round circle" power button. The unit will default to "0:00" time but the indicator light in the "3" high position will remain on.

Crock pot overheating

my 38601 smart pot 6 qt has all of its items cooked at 3-4 hrs when I have it on low heat setting at 10hrs WHY?

Why does my crock pot cook at too high a heat?

With something that small, there is not a lot of resources for parts and repair. The item is considered a throw away. You could contact customer service at RIVAL and see what they say about the issue. Could be mis-wired or something like that. The only easily replaced part for that is the stoneware.
