SOURCE: Walbro Carburetor on Briggs & Stratton Model 28R707

If the float don't float, the needle valve stays open and gas runs into crankcase.

If float floats (has no gas inside) then the needlel is probably worn and needs replacement.

HI. I m looking for a replacement carburetor for a 18.5 brigs and Stratton seating in Husqvarna . It's a Walbro 697202. No luck so far.

Normally, you just go by the Briggs and Stratton engine and model numbers. B&G carbs

Its a briiggs and stratton 16.5 hp model #313777 0112-E1. I'm gettin gas in my oil and am pretty sure float is sunk and it won't start at the moment. The carb bowl spins clockwise and counterclockwise but...

You need to determine if you have a Nikki or Walbro carb. The Nikki bowl is held on by two phillips head screws and the Walbro bowl is secured by either a single bowl nut or a anti-backfire soleniod (two wires going to it). Your problem is probably the seat in the carburetor. We see very few float problems since most of them are plastic.

If you have a Walbro with the anti-backfire solenoid you will need to get a slim 1/2 open end wrenc the access the "flats" on the solenoid to unscrew it.

The brass seat is replaceable in the Walbro along with the needle. If it's a Nikki, you may need to replace the carburetor.

Hope this helps

I have briggs and stratton powered mower with the 18.5 v-twin ohv intek engine modle 407777 type 0121-E5 CODE 000512ZYG MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY CRANKCASE IS FULL OFA GAS OIL MIXTURE THE OIL FILTER ALSO...

When the float in the carb sticks, it allows fuel to drain into the cylinder, that runs pass the rings into the crankcase. When the crankcase is full the pistons cannot go down, and the starter won't turn the engine. Drain all the oil gas mixture, and refill with proper oil. Replace float, needle and seat in the carb bowl. Throughly clean fuel passages, and bowl. If motor won't turn, remove spark plug and turn over engine a few times to remove gas oil mixture from the cylinder too.

Gas in oil 12.5 hp briggs and straton will not start

the float in the carb is stuck open, its flooding with gas. the gasoline is going past the rings and/or valves into the crankcase. you need to remove the float bowl and unstick and reset the float to specs, maybe a new seat and needle and change the oil before restarting.

Murray riding mower 12.5 hp briggs & stratton spitting oil & gas out of carb & muffler when trying to start

Drain oil... it is full of gasoline due to a bad float pin and rubber gromet in your carb. When your float pin and gromet fail, gas just keeps flowing into your carburetor, eventually flooding your motor with gas and oil mix.
