Hi, I have a Sharp LC-50LB371U Manufacture date 6/2015. I have no picture, no audio (however I hear a tone when powering off TV), no backlights. I can see the menu when doing the flash light test.

Voltage tests on the main power board on the LED connector are as follows. I get 65.74 VDC on LED 1 and LED 2. When I disconnect the connector plug I get the same voltages on the opposite side of the pins. Looking for assistance to determine if I should replace the board first. Thanks

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

For some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Testimonial: "I ordered and replaced inverter board, no change, picture is still dim pulsating while everything else works. Power board is separate on this model, so anyone know why voltage is 230VDC at LED+ point when it says on board it should be 157VDC for 42 inch, could it be the MAP3202 IC which causes higher voltage, or another component?"

My Sharp Roku TV model LC-50LB371U Has no picture, no audio. When I shine a flashlight on it, I can read "Comencemos"

it means "lets start" in Spanish, but you might want to change/check the LCD backlight & inverter first. ;-)
Good luck.

I was just watching TV last night and the screen just turned black, but I could still hear the audio from the show I was watching. I can't seem to get a picture from this TV at all. Any ideas?

If you have sound and no picture if might be a bad CCFL backlight lamp. On a Sharp LC-32SB23U it has 10 lamps in it and if one burns out it will have sound and no picture till you replace the bad lamp. You did not said what make and model flat panel tv you have.

Green light is on but screen is black

It's either the backlight lamp or backlight inverter is busted due to a power failure or fluctuation. Here's how to determine which is which:
  1. Grab a flashlight.
  2. Turn on the TV.
  3. Shine the flashlight onto the screen.
  4. If you cannot see any display even a faint one, the backlight inverter is dead, else the backlight lamps are busted.
  5. Replace which ever is the culprit.

My Sharp TV will only hear sound. No picture or images even from the tv menu setup option. Model# LC-19SB25U. About 1.5 yrs old. Converter box ok.

In most cases, you can reset the TV by leaving it unplugged for 30mins.
If this doesn't work, I believe the circuit board that supplies power to the screen maybe bad. They call this board a backlight inverter board. It would most likely cost more to repair than replace the TV .

No Picture

If your TV is a SHARP LC-45GD5U,
Try using the reset buttons on the back of the TV. It should be below your digital audio output port.
If that doesn't work, ( this is only a guess) the power supply for the LCD screen may have burned out.

Sharp LCD LC-46D64U

Try resetting the TV. Here's how to do it - Unplug the TV's power cable. Keep the Channel Down and Volume Up buttons on the TV pressed and plug the power cable back into the outlet. You will hear a click when you plug it back in if the reset is successful. Hopefully this should restore your video and audio.

Do you still have this, I need a part myself and having trouble sourcing parts?
Mine immediately goes into standby mode and the screen just shows a white flash. I'm sure its just a power issue.
