I had the same issue. If I poured 8 cups of water in the reservoir, I would only get maybe 4 cups of coffee, the rest boiled off as steam. In my case, it was an easy fix. Open the water reservoir and remove the black plastic water filter holder. Below the filter, there is a port where the water gets drawn into the boiler. In my case, there was a single coffee bean wedged sideways in the port, blocking off nearly all water flow. I fished out the bean with a metal pick, reinstalled the water filter, and the machine worked like new.

SOURCE: No steam on Capresso Impressa S8

Most likely problem is over temp cut out switch. Small diode attached to the boiler to prevent damage during boil dry, or fault in the heating element itself. Difficult machines to repair and best handled by a service technician.

SOURCE: Steam comes out strong for 25 seconds, then almost

Check the thermostats on the steam boiler, one of them is not working, also check the main board for damage, if the pump is not pulsing when you are steaming.

SOURCE: Jura Capresso Impressa S9- no steam

I had a similar problem. I took off the side and rear cover, followed the hose that comes from the steam wand to the rear of hte unit. It enters a solenoid made by ACL Italy. I dismantled the solenoid unit by disconnecting the two hose ends, removing the relay, and unscrewing the plunger unit (vertical pipe). The plunger unit internals should move freely up and down like a piston in a cylinder , powered by a small spring. In my unit, this plunger was calcified and seized. I soaked it in boiling water and pressed on it gently several times and it unstuck. I put it all back together again and presto! Good luck

My Capresso s8's display is blinking and making strange noise

All Jura machines in the series C, E, F, J, S & Z models have the same problem. The Jura recommended maintenance is insufficient or erroneous:
1- When new machine is set up, the owners click OK for use of Filter cartridges. This helps only to display reminders for replacing the filter.
2- The instruction also advises, regular use of Filters, eliminates descaling the machine. That is not accurate. Reminders for descaling are delayed or eliminated. This allows accumulation of Calcium deposits in the entire hydraulic and coffee system.
3- Cleaning tables recommended & sold by Jura do not remove Calcium deposits in the coffee/water passages. The automatic descaling method recommended by Jura also leaves the coffee side of the machine unclean. The error message in your machine is due to Calcium deposits in the Brew group, coffee outlet & the faucet dispensing coffee in the cup. I suggest all Jura machine owners should manually descale machine. Manually descaling includes use of 6 to 10 rinse cycles with descaling solution in the water tank. The error message "Clean Machine" is accurate & pointing to descaling the Brew group, coffee outlet tube and coffee dispensing faucet by using rinse cycles.

After the rinse cycles are complete, refill Descaling solution & continue descaling the rest of the machine using hot water dispensing function, until the tank is empty. Finally, give a final flushing of machine to flush out remaining descaling solution inside the machine.

Why does my coffee maker Capresso Team GS leak water?

Hello, what I have found is the most common cause of water leaking out of the bottom of the capresso team coffee maker is a leaking silicone hose that runs to the boiler (See the photo below with the split in the hose). The replacement silicone hose needs to be safe for beverage dispensing, food & dairy processing, taste and odor-free, with a temperature range of -75? to 350? F. All you need is a sharp pick, a phillips screwdriver, and a pair of needle nose pliers. Remove the four rubber pads on the bottom using the pick. Use the screwdriver to remove the six screws holding the bottom plate on. Remove and replace "BOTH" hoses using the needlenose pliers to pinch the hose clamps. Better to play it safe while you have it apart. If one is bad the other is likely not far behind. I hope this helps. acccadfd-0d5d-4c31-b1b9-a56192db9bc2.jpg

My capresso coffeeTeamGS maker will grind the coffee but will not brew it????

Hi. Your brew unit is by passing the water that is supose to brew. You'll have to clean the brew unit. Jura brewunits are not easly removeable, + you can't buy parts unless your a authorised repairer. Try doing a manual descale cycle. You need to add descale solution to the watertank and operate the hot water and steam functions, which allows the solution to enter the system. Open these functions until water and steam are pumping through, then switch them off and let it sit for a few minutes, then repeat the above 5 or 6 times. This allows the solution to break up any build up. OK, now you have manualy descaled the steam and hot water circuits. Now allow the machine to try and make coffees." we are only trying to clean the machine, so dont drink the coffee." Try 5 or 6 times to see if this is starting to brew better. WE DO NOT LEAVE THE DESCALE SOLUTION IN THE MACHINE. We need to flush the system with fresh water as per above. Descale is corrosive, so we need to get it all out. I hope this has worked for you, other wise you'll have to take it to an authorised repairer. Dazza REPAIRER

Descaling Single Boiler Home espresso machines (HOME SINGLE BOILER ESPRESSO MACHINES)

Approximately every 3 months (depending on your use and the water hardness), clean the machine with natural citric acid based decalcifying agent.
1. Add a descaling solution into the water reservoir. Mix thoroughly to dissolve (use warm water for better results).
2. Remove the filter holder and place a cup under the group head and another cup, or other container, under the steam wand to catch cleaning solution.
3. Turn espresso machine on, turn coffee pump on and run approximately 8 oz. of solution through the brew head. Turn machine off and let the machine sit for 15 minutes.
4.Run approximately 8 oz. through the steam wand, and again, turn machine off and let sit for 15 minutes.
Repeat by allowing solution to run alternately through the steam wand and brew head. Turn espresso machine off after each cycle. Repeat process until solution has been run through.
5. Do not leave espresso machine on. Do not wait for the ready light to come on. Do not use the steam switch during this process. Do not allow reservoir to run empty!
6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly with fresh water. Refill reservoir with fresh water. Run half a tank of fresh water through group head, alternating between group head and steam wand.

Helpful tips:
Descaling products are widely available from stores that sell coffeemakers and espresso machines. Be sure that the product you buy to descale your Espresso machine is intended for this specific use only. Before you descale your Espresso machine, always unplug it and make sure that it is cold. Also, never immerse the appliance in water or use abrasive cleaning products/scouring materials on any part of your espresso machine.

Solis Palazzo Descaling (?) Problem? Please Help!

Hi
He has the first part correct, but when you rinse the machine with fresh water the machine needs to quit on its own and you will know this when the descale light is off, but you will have a flashing green light and a steady red light over the water drop. Refill the water tank, the close the steam knob and then open it again. This will clear the red light and then the machine will start heating. IMPORTANT on any automatic machine is when the water tank is off the machine don't do anything with the beans. A chip of bean in the water receptacle can be a big problem for the machine.
