I have a Panasonic DMR-ES15 I bought for my Dad who loves Jeopardy! It worked on my newer 49" Samsung TV. It will play DVDs but cant get the TV signal to come through on the DVD input to record.

My Panasonic Recorder DMR-ES10, will not play discs sent to me from the U/K,

The best solution is pressing number 1 and ENTER button in the same time. That's the solution.

With a soft cloth, clean the 'hole' area of a DVD that you know worked in the past. Sometimes oils from our fingers get on the disc and then the disk can't spin properly. If the problem persists, open the case and look for two failed capacitors. (See similar solutions on this website.)

Try holding enter button and 1 together on the r/c for at least 3 secs

Took off casing ,removed dvd unit. The laser runs along 2 metal spindles which i lightly oiled with wd 40. next to it runs another brass spindle which i also oiled. Re-assembled , and the machine is good as new.
