HOW SEIOUS IS ISCHAEMIC HEART DISEASE

Ischemic heart disease is a VERY serious disease. Ischemic means without oxygen, so this disease is like what would happen to your heart if you quit breathing (duhhh - like *****?). Start your research here:

This is a good site also:

What does the flickering heart mean on the monitor?

According to http://www.omron-healthcare.com/data/catalog/3/188/1/IM-HEM-6000-E-01-08-08-EN.pdf it means you have the device in the correct position and it is starting to take a measurement - you should leave it until it completes. I am unsure if this is the correct model however:
"If your wrist is too low or too high, the position sensor alarm will emit a series of two short bleeps similar to a heartbeat.
When your wrist is at the correct position, the heart symbol
starts to blink and longer beep tones are emitted.
Sit still and do not talk or move until the measurement is
completed.
Keep the monitor at heart height until the measurement is
completed.
To stop measurement, press the O/I START button at any
time during measurement."

What do they mean by low heart rate?

The normal heart rate is really an average heart rate, around 80 beats per minute. Many things can make it go faster or slower, including activity, medication, drugs, exposure to insectisides or mushrooms and others. A slow heart rate is called bradycardia, usually around 60 beats per minute. Sometimes the electrical nodes in the heart which help to make the heart start a new beat quit or work incorectly. In these cases medication or a pacemaker are required. I hope this answers your question.

What does the heart on the monitor means?

The blinking heart symbol indicates that the unit is slowly decreasing the pressure in the wrist cuff. This is when the unit is finding your Diastolic blood pressure. This is a normal symbol on most automatic blood pressure monitors. When a nurse or doctor uses a manual blood pressure cuff and listens to the blood flow, they will record the systolic pressure when they first hear the heart beat. Then they record the diastolic measurement when they can no longer hear the heart beat.

The manual for the KS-7902 is available here: http://pharmasupply.com/wordpress/pdf/wristman .

I hope this helps.

I bought a my little pony castle at a yard sale and the instruction manual was gone. Written on the plastic bag said the pony that made the castle work was included. what does this mean and how does it...

If it is the same castle we have, when the magnetic foot on the bottom of the pony is placed on the heart (that is also magnetic) at the top of the yellow staircase, it will start the music and lights blinking. Hope this helps.
