SOURCE: got an aux cord to plug my ipod in, doesnt switch to "aux in" mode

According to the manual, you need to "enable" the AUX 1 or 2 thru the initial settings menu.

Press and hold the SRC until the unit turns off. Then press and hold the MULTI CONTROL (knob) until the Language appears. Turn the knob to cycle thru the options, select AUX 1 or 2 and press the knob again to select ON.

After selecting them to on, power the unit on and press the SRC to cycle thru the sources to find AUX 1 or 2.

Despite your car having an AUX button, you will be disappointed to know this menu is not operational as there is no AUX jack.

I dont understand how to play mp3 player on my kenwood cd player.I have the cord to hook it up to my kenwood radio but i dont know how to get the mp3 to play.

Just plug the cord into the front of the cd player where it says "AUX" and then plug the other end of the cord into the headphone / line out jack on any ipod or mp3 player then select "AUX" instead of CD and the sound will come through the system

How do i connect an aux cord to my head unit

You can go to radio shack and grab a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. make sure that is male -to - male. Some decks are equipped with an AUX IN in the front and some in the back and then some have both. This wire will resemble the same input end of an earphone plug. Once you have your device plugged in then just press the SRC button on your deck till it says AUX, AUX IN, or Audio. Let me know if this helps

How do I connect my Ipod to a JVC KD-G230?

The cord you are using is an audio cable with a 3.5mm plug with two black bands on the plug. The JVC Source button has to be pressed until AUX shows in the display. The volume on the iPod AND the volume on the deck affect the sound - turn the iPod up to 70% volume for best results.

My aux cord broke off too, while playing my ipod, how do i remove it? The little metal piece is pretty deep in the aux connection. I have a 2007 nissan altima, does anyone know how to remove it? Thanks....

try to super glue a small nail head to the metal in the radio. Don't use to much glue! just a small drop. Hold till it dries and pull up to rest of the plug

Same problem, Aux plug worked for awhile, then stopped.

You need to check the power to the aux power unit. If it has power to it then you know the unit itself is bad.
