Model MLTD 2232 TV/DVD COMBO. How can I increase digital signal?

This was a top google search hit at the time of this writing. We have an old Memorex MLTD2232 that has been missing a remote for ages. Our Philips universal remote is model SRP9232D/27.

This TV is an Orion TV/DVD combo that is rebranded to Memorex and Sansui.

We found the code in Sansui DVD codes in the code booklet:

Thei Orion model Tv is not equipped with a digital tuner inside. There is only an analogue tuner fitted and only analogue channels can be received by this set. To get digital channels, you have to buy one settop box, which can convert digital signals to analogue signals. In short, a Digital to Analogue Converter should be bought, if you want to get digital channels. OK.

Yes,if the channels itself don't block u.95%,yes it is recordable and 5% might blocks u.A signal will flashes on ur tv screen said not recordable.

we have am insignia lcd/dvd and a wii on it. wee connected the wii on the side inputs and when he plays the wii he has to choose input 2. hope this helps

If I understand your request right, You do not have cable or satellite box.
You can not record from your TV. You use the TV as a monitor from the dvd/vcr combo box. What the box receives is what shows on the TV. So you will have to have a digital convertor hooked to the (antenna in) dvd/vcr combo box, (antenna out to the tv antenna in) Depending on the antenna you are using that is on the other end of your cable-in coax connection this will hook to your antenna in on the digital convertor box. If your cable is hooked up and operating correctly and directly to the tv that is digital ready you probabbly have a good picture. When the vhf/uhf signal was transmitted you could go from the dvd/vcr to the tv with no problem. But now that the signal is digital and the tv is set for digital the dvd/vcr will not pass a digital signal to the tv. Best suggestion, you have to get a digital dvd/vcr receiver. replace the power pcb,very common with this
model.the 1000 mfd.50 volt capacitors blow the tops off or are pooched out.take the back off and you will see the problem.

If you recieve your signal on this TV over the Air (Rabbit Ears) then Yes you will need a digital Converter for this TV. If you are hooked up to Cable or a Satalite Dish, your TV will continue to work without the converter box.

if any of these are connected to a cable box you dont have nothing to worry...if not yes you need the converter

It does have a tuner built into it.

It is not a hd or digital tuner.
