How do I get Siri on my apple ipad

Press and hold the Home button. Siri is enabled by default on all devices that support it, so usually you can just press and hold the Home button to start the Siri interface. The Siri prompt will appear, and you'll be able to speak your command or question.[1]
  • If Siri doesn't start, it may be disabled or your iOS device may be too old
Say "Hey Siri" if your iOS device is plugged into a power outlet. When your iOs device is plugged in, you can say "Hey Siri" to launch the Siri interface without pushing any buttons.
  • The iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, and iPad Pro allow you to use "Hey Siri" without the device being plugged in.
  • If "Hey Siri" isn't working, it may need to be turned on.
Ensure your iOS device is compatible. Siri does not work on older iOS devices. The iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, and the iPod Touch 1st-4th generation do not support Siri. Even though these devices may be able to install a version of iOS that supports Siri, they won't be able to use it.
  • Visit support.apple.com/en-us/HT201296 for information on identifying your iPhone if you're not sure.
  • See Determine an iPad Model / Version for information on determining what model iPad you have.

Have an LG Bluetooth headphone set that voice activation of calls has stopped working. Must use the iPhone to look up numbers and dial. Not safe. Please help

If you do not have Data, SIRI will not work, so change your phone to 'Voice Control.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button.
  2. Under Press and Hold to Speak, select one of these options: Siri: Siri will respond when you press and hold the Home button. Voice Control: Classic Voice Control will respond when you press and hold the Home button. This will also turn off Siri.

Siri doesn't understand a word I ask while using Bluetooth. And dictating through Bluetooth is slow to start and full of mistakes. Help.

Do you speak slowly and clearly so the app can understand your vocal implications, it needs to learn your voice characteristics.

I can't find "Siri" on my iPhone 6. Where did she go?

1. Turn on Siri App if this is the first time you use it.
Settings > General > Slide the button next to "Siri" from the "off" state to the "On" sate. Now Siri on your iPhone is enabled.
2. Checking other settings
- Choose your language you prefer: For example, if you have a special English accent, you have options for English (Australia), English (Canada), English (United Kingdom) or English (United States).
- Select your gender: Siri is capable of telling the voice from male and female.
- Enable Raise to Speak. This setting means you can simply pick up the iPhone when it is awake and hold to your ear as if making a call. Once you do so, Siri will activate.

Siri works but does not speak, what will activate the voice?

Good afternoon Daniel

Give or take your version of iOS:
Settings > General > Siri > There is a setting for 'Voice Feedback' that can be set to
  • Always
  • Control with Ring Switch
  • Hands-Free Only
I'd imagine that either of the latter two settings could be casing your lack of audible replies, should those conditions not be met.

Hoping this helps, and Happy Holidays

How to get siri on ipad2 ios 8.1.2

How to configure Siri
  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Tap on Siri.
  4. Tap on Language to change languages and dialects.
  5. Tap on Voice Feedback to choose whether Siri always talks back to you, or only when in Handsfree mode.
  6. Tap **My Info* to select your Contact card so Siri knows who you are, what your numbers are, and what your locations are. This lets you say things like "Call home." or "Give me directions to work."
  7. Toggle Raise to Speak to have Siri pop up whenever you bring your iPhone to your ear, and you're not on a call. This may drain your battery faster than if it were disabled.

Can i speak rather than type?

Is it on an iPod Classic? I had one, but it was stolen before I got to use it to well. If you can speak into it, you'll have to have a set of headphones with a microphone. But i do not think it will translate your speech into text. The new iPods with Siri can do that.

How do I make Siri listen...now, Siri says "sorry, I didn't get that. No chance to ask the question.

Try using it in a quiet place without a lot of background noise or loud music playing, and don't clear your throat or cough, etc. before speaking, just start right in.
