Sounds like a power problem.
This model of phone will work as a regular corded phone when no ac power is available.
IE the cordless function is only available when you have electricity.
- is the ac adapter plugged into a working outlet.
- is the ac adapter working.
- is the ac adapter pluged into the base.

hope this helps

Sounds like a firewall or ACL.
while offhook, press the "?" 2 x, see if there the phone is sending packets or go to the network settings and get the IP Address.

When a call comes in and I transfer to my boss' extension, incoming calls do not come through, caller states phone keeps on ringing. Also on that same extension calls do not transfer to voice mail.

  • Begin the transfer. With the caller on the line, press the "Transfer" key. The caller will automatically be placed on hold and you will hear a dial tone.
  • Connect the caller to the other party. Dial the extension of the party you wish to reach. When you hear the extension ring or after you've announced the caller, complete the transfer by pressing "Transfer" a second time. If the person does not wish to receive the call, press "Release" to disconnect from the dialed extension. Press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator where the various lines are displayed to return to the caller.
  • Cancel an incomplete transfer. If you make an error when dialing and need to retrieve the caller, simply press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator.

  • Park an incoming call. Parking a call at a designated extension allows the recipient to answer the call from any phone in the facility. With the caller on the line, press the "Park" key twice. If your system designates a particular extension for parked calls, the caller will be held at that extension. Otherwise, the caller is held at your extension. To specify an extension for a parked call, press "Park," dial the desired extension and press "Park" a second time. Replace the handset.
  • Retrieve a parked call. On any system phone, press "Park" and dial the extension on which the call is parked. You will be connected to the caller.

How can I make conference call or joint call fron vtech cordless phone

Hi,
To make two-party call on your Panasonic phone and ask the person on the other line to wait for a moment.
  • Check to see if your Panasonic phone has a flash key feature. If it does, press the flash key down and wait until you hear the confirmation tone. If the Panasonic phone you're using does not have a flash key, hold down the the hook switch for half a second, then release. Dial the number of the third person in your conference call. If you're inviting someone in-house to be a part of your conference call, dial their extension number instead. If you're dialing an outside line you may need to dial 9 before dialing the number.

  • Wait for the new addition to the conference call to answer and then press the Flash key again. Wait an additional two or three seconds before pressing the number three on your telephone keypad. Start your conference call. Once you've pressed the flash key followed by the number 3, as in Step 4, your conference call is established. If you wish to add additional participants simply repeat Steps 3 and 4.

Ok im trying to transfer my work phone to my cell phone so i can go home and not have to sit up here all night. and i cant figure out how to do it.

    1. Pick up the receiver on your work phone and wait to hear a dial tone.
    2. Dial *72 on your work extension phone keypad. You may hear a series of four beeps that indicates the system is ready for you to enter the phone number to which your calls will be forwarded.
    3. Enter your cell phone number including the area code on the keypad of your work extension phone.
    4. Hang up the receiver on your work phone.
    5. Test the call forwarding by dialing your work extension phone from another phone. Your cell phone should ring. If it does not ring , repeat Steps 1 through 4.

Lucent Partner Mail VS - need cordless phone

Each of the modular jacks at the cabinet will accept a single line telephone. I don't think you can "bridge" a phone on 12 year old software, but if there is a spare jack, it will work with a plain old cordless phone. Plug one in, dial 10, and read what extension you have. Here's a manual for a 4.1 Partner system to help you program the ringing. Programming is done from the display phone at extension 10 or 11.

    http://public.carl.airpost.net/Avaya/Partner_ACS.pdf

After you find the extension, save yourself the trouble and go to page 447 of the attached pdf. It details how to set the Automatic line preference and ringing of the cordless. The difference is that you will select your lines AFTER the intercom as in ** LIC RIC 1 2 3 4, or 4 3 2 1. This is important! You'll then be able to dial "9" to get an outside line in forward or reverse order and still call internally.

If you find you don't get an outside line when you dial "9", then keep reading the manual, you need to put your lines in groups.

Searching for a phone with special feature

Yes you can buy cordless phones with transfer capabilities. We have several of them at where I work.

The unidens are some of the better phones on the market. All we have to do with them is when we receive a call is hit the talk button again and dial the number we wish to send the call to.

Any of the unidens should have this feature you could ask the salesman if you can plug them in to test.

An example of a good phone is:
