F1 error (On a Fisher Paykel dishdrawer means there has been a water leak and its triggered the flood device. The machine wont let you use it as a safety precaution. You need to get an F&P Tech to look at it before it causes more damage. Often the drawer seals fail or the heater plate springs a leak.

SOURCE: fisher & paykel top drawer stuck again

Sounds like the lid is not opening all the way. Rubber may be coming off lid seal during opening and closing. Check you lid actuators replace both right and left if needed.

SOURCE: top drawer sticks

Hi and welcome. I think I can help here.
Read over my instructions first before pressing any buttons- Set the machine in diagnostics mode by first pressing the small lock button and holding it down, followed by the center button. (hold them both together, but start by pressing the lock button FIRST) for about 6 seconds. (you have to press the center button down right after you depress the lock button or else you will just set the machine in LOCK mode) You will hear a BEEP. Now push the far left button once. Now look at the display and press the center button to scroll thru the codes. You want to find "LD", I believe you will see it after three sucessive codes from the begining, but either way, scroll thru until you see LD, and then press the small lock button once. You should hear the lid motors retract now, and you will feel the drawer "come loose" again once the lid motors are back in the retracted position. Then simply turn the machine off. This clears the diagnostic mode. That should free the drawer up. Try this first and if you still have problems, let us know.

SOURCE: I have a Fisher Paykel dishwasher with water in top drawer

You need a Air gap kit designed by Fisher and Paykel to address this problem. It is pricey but it is worthy. I used this and very happy with it since no back flow problem from one while other running. Here is a link to order it.http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net/product/WT50/WT50-Dual-Air-Gap-Kit/

F1 error on Fisher and Paykel Dish Drawer

Sorry did not see your problem report earlier. If you have checked the sensor under the bottom drawer and it is dry, then F1 is caused by top drawer power filter fault. This means the bottom drawer controller is giving the F1 error but the top drawer controller has no power. Can you confirm this.

Flashes F1 and a wrench symbol... water doesn't drain

Assuming you are getting the F1 error in both drawers.

This means there is water at the base of the housing under the bottom drawer.

Turn power off and take the drawer out. You will have to pull out the plastic pins on either side and get the front cover off. This will enable you to pull the drawer out from the slide bar for better access. Use towels and hair dryer to get rid of all the water. The flood switch is mounted on the power board. Use hair dryer to dry this out.

Put everthing back and turn power on.

Post a comment if this is not fixed or the F1 is only coming in one of the drawers.

Dishwasher keeps flashing F1

F1 on your dishwasher is the fault code for leaking inside the machine. the water has caused the flood switch to activate. have you put any detergent rather than your normal dishwasher detergent into the machine? if you have, the water probably leaked out of your overflow, if not, then you have a leak on the top drawer or bottom drawer. the easiest way to check is to leave the machine off for a couple of days until it drys then turn on the bottom drawer to go thru a cycle.if the F1 comes up again then the problem is on your bottom drawer. if F1 does not come up then try the top drawer. please reply if you require further help.

F1 showing up - no flooding.

Check for water under the bottom drawer or water marks. Try swapping the motor controllers over from top to bottom. Theses are the computer modules in the front of each drawer. Cheers

Fisher & Paykel single drawer dishwasher F1 flashing.

F1 indicates a problem with the Flood sensor. I cleaned all the filters etc. removed the drawer viewed under the drawer, it was dry. There is nothing further I can do, so called the Appliances repair person and booked an appointment for him to determine if an outlet hose is blocked or has a hole in it or whatever. Thanks for all the suggestions Blokes. I'm technically challenged. Happy New Year

Fisher and paykel dishwasher

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin.
If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1.
Remove the bottom drawer by pulling the lock pins on each lower side corner. Slide down and remove front cover. Release the drawer slide clips and remove drawer then dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios for this error code;
1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors, attached to the cabinet on either side of the drawer, that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models)
2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely.
3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining.
