Good day
What recourse do I have when claiming goods that I kept in a storage facility that were subsequently lost by the storage facility?
Goods stored December 2006 to November 2018 at a monthly rental. I had no access to storage facility. Goods lost during this period. How and when unknown. I was not informed by storage facility that goods lost / missing. Storage facility denies responsibility.

In general, a police report is not always required to make an insurance claim for goods lost or missing from a storage facility, but it may depend on the specific terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
Most insurance policies require the policyholder to provide proof of loss, such as receipts, invoices, or other documentation. This documentation can help establish the value and ownership of the lost or missing goods.
However, some insurance policies may require a police report as additional proof of loss or to help prevent fraudulent claims. It is important to review the terms and conditions of your insurance policy to understand what documentation is required to make a claim for lost or missing goods from a storage facility.
If you are unsure whether a police report is required or have any questions about the claims process, it is recommended that you contact your insurance provider or agent for clarification and guidance.
Insurance Claims. In most cases, you will not need a police report to file a claim with your insurer unless there is extensive damage that you'd like to be compensated for, or something unusual happens, such as a crime taking place or the other driver fleeing the scene.

Self Storage, as you prepare it to be asked, is the same as internal storage. A user available space to play with, to store files, images, videos, music and document files. during formatting, a self storage(internal flash, internal storage) should be backed up, else you will lose everything from application to your important docs, files, and including your contact. if your phone includes external storage slot, then i suggest to buy one and use it. While saving files, your internal storage grow big and space grows smaller. there are certain effect on this on your phone, it can slow down processing of apps, lot of lags, and lots of freezes.
hope this helps you.
good luck.
As
troubling as it may be, the storage owner may dispose of your property
in any way they like. They can sell it as a whole, in batches or in
individual pieces or they can dispose of it entirely. In Houston TX, I
own & operate a storage auction information website. We actually
call over 1400 storage facilities bi monthly. Every facility has their
own way of clearing the rental space. Most prefer auctions because 1.
Cash is king and auctions are a good way to recover losses from
delinquent tenants & 2. They get to have someone else clean out the
unit. Some other facility owners that I have spoken with are quite
creative in dealing with these situations. A lot of the facility
managers will try to work out a settlement before the unit is foreclosed
on. Once foreclosed on, some owners actually just give the unit away to
anyone who is willing to haul it off, others have a list of buyers who
give the owner a private bid. Some owners will just haul it all to the
dump. I have spoken with several managers who actually have garage sales
and sell each item individually. Believe it or not I have spoken with
many storage facilities that claim to have a perfect payment record and
haven't needed to have an auction in years when most other facilities
have at least 2 tenants in default every month. It makes me wonder what
is really going on. In most cases though, the facility owners and
managers are good, trustworthy people. They aren't in the resale
business, they just want their rent. I hope this has been helpful. And
you will get more information in here about self storage mississauga.

Imagine that you have bought a pack of ready to eat food manufactured and
marketed by a well-known Fast Moving Consumer Goods multi-national, during your
regular weekly visit to a neighbouring supermarket. On opening the pack, you find to
your dismay that the contents are spoilt and are not in a condition to be eaten.
Write a routine claim letter to the Vice President, Marketing of the company, asking
for an adjustment or some kind of action.
