What is the difference between cis fats and trans fats

Straight answer: Doesn't seem like so. Your printer seems to be a less supported.

How you can find a CIS for your printer is by searching the CIS system by the cartridge as the CIS connects to the cartridge and rest of the printer is left untouched. I have seen even some DIY guys who have modified the original cartridge (simply drilling a hole into it and attaching hoses to it) with the CIS hose and used a stock CIS system.

With universal CIS kits you can idealy convert any inkjet to CIS system. Perhaps you can invest in a printer that already includes a CIS system? You can google Factory Built-In CISS Epson L100 and L200 All-In-One Printer.

My experience with CIS has been that they do leak and some require printer to be 24/7 on witch will consume ink even in idle to keep it from drying out. So do a proper research on CIS system before purchase. They are really messy system when the ink runs on out from the printer and onto everything.

Its the problem with the CIS home position sensor.
Pl. reassembly(dis connect and re connect) the CIS cables(FFC) between cis,relay con and main con. pcb, check and clean cis home sensor, check cis drive motor,check realy drive pcb, check main con pcb.

the intake valves could be coked up with carbon (this requires walnut blasting and it is done with the head on at the dealer)
the CIS injector seals could be a vacuum leak source (spray water from a spray bottle on the injectors where they meet the head (if you hear a change in the idle the seals need to be replaced and the injector inserts need to be resealed) there are special tools to pop out the injectors and tool to unscrew the inserts
the CIS could need to be adjusted for mixture co/hc a long 3mm alan wrench is needed and an exhaust tester
the cis flap could need adjustment in the air horn make sure it is centered at rest.

CIS(scanner) problem Reconnect the flat cable to CIS. Press Menu,# Use < or > keys to scroll and select hardware test. Use < or > keys to scroll and select CIS TEST. OK. PRESS 1,2,3,4
CIS will glow white, red, green & blue. if not happening replace your CIS.
Apply lubrication to the bending portion on the flat cable and bottom plate. if still having problem replace your CIS.

Usually error regards to CIS. Do the following procedure. Press Menu,# Using key scroll to select Hardware test, press ok. Using key scroll to select CIS. Press 1 & check if CIS glows white Press 2 & check if CIS glows RED. Press 3& check if CIS glows GREEN. Press 4& check if CIS glows BLUE. Now press 5 and now CIS will be OFF If no problems found ,remove your platen glass reconnect the flat cable to CIS & apply Silicon oil to the bending parts of the flat cable which continuously touches the bottom plate. Now if still problem exists better to replace your CIS.

You need to change the chip thats connected to the CIS had the same problem...

If the Black lines are jaggered and are vary in size with different levels of brightness, then most likely it is scratch on the glass. If the lines are sharp and perfect and does not change when different brightness is chosen, then it could be failure of CIS module (Try this under B&W mode). To the best of my knowledge there is no concept of initialising the CIS, you may need to clean the Shading sheet.

the error's you were getting on the CIS could have been from the chip. Try setting the date back on the computer or on the printer back 1 year. See if that makes a difference (if you still have the CIS and the printer). Best advice, get an updated chip.

First remove the scanner control panel. pry the hinges out slightly and you can take off the control panel, then there are 4 or 5 screws and the top comes off. The 2 long rollers come out too. move the clip and slide them to the right. The scanner is the 3/4 inch wide 8 inch long scanner. ( the glass that reads your faxes to send ) It is coonected with a flat cable. It pops up when you push the clips holding it down. Lawrence
