I have a totaline P374-1100 EZ. Trying to remove it from the wall but it's stuck. Shouldn't it just snap off?

both of mine are ancient, plastic is brittle, already broke one... snapping off from the bottom did NOT work...

Check for small screw on bottom but yes typically pull straight off!

How do you open this totaline programmable thermostat to changed the low battery?

Hi, just grasp the front of the thermostat and work it back and forth. It will come loose from the subbase that is screwed to the wall. This is where the batteries and control wires are terminated. It will look and feel as though it is one unit, but it will come apart, it has 2 sections, the stat first, and the subbase last. It may be stuck but it will come off. They snap together. Good luck, you can do this.

Crankshaft sensor snapped in half while pulling it out. sensor part is stuck and there is nothing to grab to pull it out

use a ez out if possible. You have a great chance at removing the engine oil pan as well for the sensor is made of high strength plastic and will get inside the block as well once the ez out is used

Frozen totaline thermostat

is there a padlock on the screen? If so push the up, down, and mode buttons at the same time to unlock it. Your next choice is to take the stat off the wall and let it sit for about 10 min. then put it back up. Or configuration is in lock mode
