We can send faxes, but we don't receive them
SOURCE: can't send a fax
Do you have a DSL connection to the Internet? If you do and you don't have the line filter on the cord going to the 6210, it won't be able to dial out.
SOURCE: can't receive faxes but can send them okay
Make sure you using a seperate analog phone line and not a digital phone line. If you have DSL on your phone system you may need a filter on the phone line as well.
If you have an answering machine, have it answer at three rings. Have the fax answer at five rings. Let the answer machine go thru it's cycle, and see if the fax picks up.
If you need printed confirmation that your faxes were successfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation before sending any faxes. Select either On Fax Send or Send & Receive.
The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This means that the HP All-in-One will not print a confirmation report for each fax sent or received. A confirmation message indicating whether a fax was successfully sent appears briefly on the display after each transaction.
