The remote must be programmed to operate your TV which requires the code for your Hisesnse TV from the instructions that came with the remote! Thanks and have a great day!

SOURCE: WD-52628 Mitsubishi - change inputs

We had the same problem. Luckily, we had a service contract, so it was serviced yesterday. The fix involved the service guy going through a "service menu" and resetting the TV that way. He was not "allowed" to tell me how I can access the service menu, however. I do plan to research this on the internet in case it happens in the future. It is basically a software/computer problem, and unplugging the TV isn't enough to clear it unless the TV is unplugged for "a long time." The technician said the length of time depends on the condition of your capacitors. Anyway, as a temporary fix, he showed me that you can go into the PIP mode. The device toggle for PIP apparently did still work with mine, so I was able to switch the device on the secondary picture and then switch it to primary, then toggle the PIP off. Good luck!

SOURCE: mintex 37 inch wide screen. remote is working however cannot change channel, input source or volum. only turns tv off. The buttone on tv doesnot work connot change input source or volume

Check if the remote is in TV position, that is, because most of the remote controllers have the feature that you can program them for use with another devices. Make shure that one button that says "TV" in pressed and released once before you try to change any function on the TV.

SOURCE: input channel with no remote

You should be able to select the AV input with an Input or Menu button on the front of the TV.  If there are no arrow keys the Channel and Volume buttons may provide up-down-left-right action.

What channel on the hci tv can I view my dvd I hooked the red yellow and white jacks into the back of tv but cannot find a channel to view the dvd

You probably need to find a Source or Input button or menu item. Change the source from TV (if that is your current source) to A/V (or composite video). Depending on the model, there may be a source/input button on the TV. There will always be a sourc/input button on the original remote. If you are using a universal remote, you may need to try a different code to get the function to work.

On a few TVs, you can find this in one of the sub-menus. However not all TVs let you change the source in the Menu system.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model of the HCI TV and whether you have the original remote or a universal remote to control the TV if you would like me to find the specific information for your TV.

(For example, the HCI RM22 III remote has the input button on the left side just below the power button.)

Source button does not work The hisense Tv cannot respond to change to hdmi and is stuck on monotv

new batteries. But that won't solve the problem if the universal remote apply other code. when the original remote is applied, you touch the tv icon to be sure you are using the correct parameters. When it still won't solve the problem you go to the ir circuit on the set. the reason may be because of the accumulation of the dust and dirt on the buttons.

How to change input on tv without a remote

Which TV do you have? Some will have an Input or Source button on the front panel. A few will have an option to change the source from the menu. Both of these options require the front panel lock to be inactive.

A few older TVs allowed you to find the A/V input by pressing Channel Down on the front panel buttons until you passed channel 2 (or Channel Up until you nearly reached Channel 2). This option wouldn't work if the A/V inputs had been deleted when someone minimized going through unused channels.

If the Source or Input button was only available on the remote, you will need a universal remote that includes this feature. These cost a bit more than the lowest end remotes. Then you will have to try all of the codes to find the one that makes the Source button work with your TV. (Several codes may work for On/Off but not the change input.) The Universal remotes that can be programmed from a computer (USB connection) will be the easiest to set up. Remotes.com may have a replacement original or substitute remote for your TV that should work for all of the TV functions.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the TV make and model for specific options for your particular TV.

Cindy Wells
(low end TVs usually only had the Source/Input button on the remote.)

I have lost the orignal remote for my tv and have a universal remote. I get the tv/video button to work. is there some way to change it with out using the remote?

Unfortunately, the Input button (to change the source from INPUT 1, INPUT 2,
INPUT 3, INPUT 4, Front Input, HDMI/DVI, and last-active channel) is only on the remote. If your universal remote was built 6 months after the TV was released, try a different code for RCA/Thomson TVs (assuming the remote has an input or source key). Thomson built the TV.

If your universal remote doesn't have an input key, you probably need a higher end remote (one with that key or one that can be programmed from a computer). Alternatively, you can get an exact replacement remote here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=HD52W58&uuid=12927154203570 .

I hope this helps.
