Hey, thanks for contacting us. If water is building up in the freezer's bottom, you may need to check for its drain tube. Drain Tube might be clogged or frozen. you may need to defrost it and remove any Ice clogged in the tube.
Whirlpool corp., whom made this unit, had a bad design for the defrost drain tube by the compressor. Order part W10619951 and install. This is a kit to change out the current drain tube to a better one. You still have to defrost the frozen defrost drain tube but this will fix it for good.
No its the drain that's frozen....take the back panel off inside the freezer side....look down and you'll see a hole....that's your drain for the defrost....anyway heat a glass of water for 3 min in microwave....pour Down drain continue until drain is clear...
Hi Mike, You could have an outside airleak which would let in warm moist air into the freezer.OR the condensate drain tube is plugged up or frozen up. thats the drain tube that drains the melted ice from the freezer OR the condenser fan located buy the compressor is not running. Check all drain tubes and drain channels for clo- ging or freeze-up due to improper and complete draining.
You
have a frozen drain tube. Remove the back cover after unplugging the unit. Locate
the drain tube running down to the drip pan. If it is frozen, thew it with a
hair dryer. In the inside, find the drain hole and pour hot water in it until it
drains properly. I f it happens again your defrost element is too far away from
the aluminum drain pan and needs to be GENTLY lowered closer to the drain
the drain is pluged with ice and causing the water to run onto the floor of freezer .. defrost drain with hot water and a turkey baster . this shoould solve problem .. mm
since this problem is discussed over and over on various models, I point you to a detailed manual that shows (with images) how to solve the frozen drain pipe issue.
