SOURCE: HE3t Kennmore water fill level adjustment?

I completely understand your dilemma as I have the same problem with my HE3. I was so frustrated I called a service tech out before my warranty expired and he told me the #1 complaint about these washers is that they don't get the clothes clean. I was surprised at his honesty! He told me to get a water softener and to use hot water but said nothing about clothes that are supposed to be washed in cold water. I asked him how to adjust the water level and he said the sensor is not adjustable but I have been unable to find out if these is true. I agree with you and believe it's because they use too little water. I have come to absolutely hate this washing machine for many reasons. When washing anything long (jeans, pants, long-sleeve shirts, etc) it literally ties the whole load into a clothes knot. You can grab one item and pull the whole load out because it's a huge knot ball. So tell me, how do the clothes get clean (or properly rinse) when they are in a ball and unable to freely move through the water (which isn't there) in the bottom of the tub? Another problem is that it takes a MINIMUM of 3-4 rinse cycles to get the detergent out of the clothes...yes, I use HE detergent. Here's what I do. I use the 'add a garment feature' to interrupt the cycle after the washer has filled. Then I add about 2-3 gallons of additional water to both the wash and 1st/2nd rinse cycles. This has helped immensely but leads to two more reasons I hate the machine. First, that makes it extremely high maintenance to stand waiting for the moment to add water. Second, when adding the additional water, clothes have a tendency to get caught between the rubber gasket and wash tub where they can sit during the entire cycle not getting clean. On the up side I can say I've never had a mechanical problem with the machine. I am sorry and wish I could help more.

SOURCE: top load Kenmore 800 washer will not fill with water

OK - I have a solution to my problem with this washing machine. Nothing would work except for one of the spin cycles. I thought it was the main switch - the cycle selection and start switch - but I was wrong. The service tech replaced the switch behind the fabric softener. It's the switch that controls the water levels. Part # W10292584. Our government is forcing the manufacturers to put controls on the washing machine to save water. It's a bad idea and is causing lots of problems. Tech says he's replacing them on a regular basis. Less than $100 if you do it yourself. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: low water level in top load washer

Load selector switch has a hose attached to it that goes to bottom of washer tub. It is probably clogged with soap. Open top where switches are, disconnect tube and blow it out. Problem should be solved. The only other thing it could be would be load selector switch has gone bad. But I am betting tube is plugged.

SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL MACHINE IS DANCING ACROSS THE FLOOR

You need to adjust the legs on the bottom to get it balanced so it does not spin and cause it to bounce. fill a clear glass of water up to 1/8 inch of top place on machine on the side and then the front observe if unit is level if not adjust till level from right to left and front to back. spin outthe adusting feet on the bottom of the washer.

Can you adjust the water level on the LG Tromm WM1814CW? The water level when washing and rinsing is so low that the clothes are barely wet when the washer has finished.

No. Water level is not user adjustable. The washer will automatically put in the correct amount (about 3 inches in the bottom of the tub) and adjust for load size and type. This level is all that is needed. The reason the clothes are hardly wet at the end of the cycle is due to the high spin speed (compared to almost all top loading machines). If you want to see how wet the clothes really are, pause the machine mid cycle and the door will unlock and you can see, or select a "no spin" option and see at the end of that cycle. You will use about 12 gallons of water for a large load, vs. about 45 for a top loading machine, so remember to adjust your soap and fabric softener use accordingly. ( one tablespoon detergent and one teaspoon fabric softener maximum per load)

Kenmore 70 series washer

if the water was overflowing from the top of the tub it sounds like the pressure hose came loose. tilt the control panel back and you will prob see the hose that connects to the left side (where you adjust the water level) has come loose. cut about 1/4 inch off of it and re-connect it.

Kenmore 80 Series - water wont fill to full load

remove edge decore trims from left and right side front of control panel8b608f8.jpg
remove phillips screws from bottom corners of contol panel
remove knob from water level selector
raise control panel ~1 inch then flip over backwords on pivots
depress lock tab on right/underside of water level control body where it touches metal mount plate
rotate water level control body 45deg anti clockwise
pull body off
top side of body next to knob shaft is 1/8 hex head bolt
turn clockwise to rais water level
anticlockwise to lower water level
machine can be operated with this part not fitted so can check level. fill, adjust screw, fill will start again, adjust screw, until water level is correct
reinstall in reverse order
Incidentally, the cause is a VERY small wire spring inside the control body that is not really up to the task, and stretches over years.
Its a common occurrence, and I make this repair, on callouts, no parts required, couple times a month you may have to flip the switch to reset to get the water to restart filling

Washer does not fill

many new machines use what we would only describe as hardly any water, does it do the job properly, if so then fine leave it as is,

this is calculated by computer so that the lowest level of water is used to do the job, hence the lowest amount of electric is used to warm it up, (a bit like filling the kettle to the top for one cup of coffee, its a waste)

its not what we see that matters, its what it does, after all we don't generally sit and watch it do we?
