SOURCE: Internet Light keeps blinking - all others are out - No internet

A flashing internet light(all others off) indicates that the modem is searching for a signal from your ISP. Try rebooting the modem and if that doesnt do it replace the coax going to the modem. If you still dont have internet then go ahead and call your ISP as it could be a problem on their end.

@CluelessNYC: If you purchased a modem from a third party then you may need to register the MAC address with your ISP. Most cable providers tie your account to a specific MAC.

SOURCE: i have had problems connecting to internet all

hi, it depends on the type of the modem that you have, ethernet is for the connection of your PC to modem so it is normally green and blinking depending on the activity, but should always be on, internet light should be green also, blinking to steady which indicates that you are connected to the internet, DSL light must always be steady, otherwise you have to check first your telephone wire, perform power recycle, then call your ISP if still the same, if DSL is sync but internet light red/off, the settings of the modem might have been change, then, you have to call your internet service provider.

Bought seagate central, downloaded dashboard but cannot access central drive. drive showing on network file....grrrr!

Does the right hand light show a flashing sequence - if so go to
http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/206359en
from where you will be able to go to the particular explanation for the sequence you are seeing. If this doesn't get you anywhere or the right light is not showing a problem then the following link will take you to a page with many links to troubleshoot your kit.
http://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/external-hard-drives/network-storage/central-axis/?sku=STM320005CDD00G-RK&q=Maxtor%20Central%20Axis
If the drive is showing in the network section of Windows Explorer, it may mean a simple change of the shares will allow access. If you are using Win7 or Win8, then making shares work can be a pain, especially if you are not logged on as an Administrator.

Just take it back to where you bought it, and get them to connect it to one of their computers, to see if it works at all. If not, get them to replace/repair it, under warranty.

How many lights should be on my westell model327w?

b2f0922.jpg
The Westell has several lights on the front that have various meanings

Power = When lit, this light indicates there's power to the router. It should be solid green.

Ethernet = When lit, this light indicates that the modem is communicating with your computer. This will be on only if you're using the Ethernet cable to connect the modem to your computer

Wireless = When lit, this light indicates that the wireless function of the Actiontec is working. This will only be lit if you're using the wireless function.

DSL = When lit, this light indicates the modem is speaking to the central office (phone company). When working, the light should be solid green.

Internet = When blinking, this light indicates that you're receiving information i.e., you're able to browse from site to site. This light will be blinking as you're receiving information.

No because dsl light should be solid green light. You need to contact your ISP to check if there is a problem on the network.

Changed the battteries and mouse and keyboard. Now can't get keyboard to work.

There is a central antennae that hooks directly to the computer via USB plug...on that central hub is a button, this is a component connect button, push the button on the antennae first and as it is blinking, push the connect button on the keyboard, it may be green in color and you may need an ink pen to depress it....just make sure that you depress it while the other unit is still blinking. This will connect the component to the hub. If you follow the procedure and it does not immediately connect, reboot and perform the procedure again.....try to move the hub to another usb port before you power back up.

Maxtor personal storage 3200 - flashing green light.

Solution:
First, disconnect the power cable from the back of the external hard drive:
If the power supply LED continues to blink:
  1. Connect the power supply to a different outlet (or instead of connecting to a power strip, connect directly to an outlet in the wall).

  2. If the power supply continues to blink after changing outlets, this indicates that the power supply is defective and needs to be replaced.

  3. If the power supply stays solid, then reconnect to the external hard drive and see if the drive spins.
