Your washer is off balance or the load is unbalanced. If uL (unbalanced load) appears in display, the load is out of balance. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine.Sep 25, 2018

SOURCE: we keep getting code that says uL, the machine

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. ULis displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load.
• Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load.
• If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: Can I pack insulation around

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
NO!
(If you haven't already, try my guidance notes on leveling, please!)

I mostly answer front load problems but ' out of balance' is a common problem with both!
So- I don't know your particular machine but the initial cure is the same.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.

Good luck,

John C

SOURCE: I have a Bravo Maytag

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You have (at least) 2 problems- first is an unbalanced machine ('UL' I suspect is 'unbalanced load') and the second is probably a blocked drain filter or drain pump/motor.

First Unbalance:-
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
(If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.)

Next Filter

Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If these have assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

UL code keeps coming up at last 9-10 min of spin cycle will not finish load What could be causing this? Is it bent suspension rods?

I replaced the suspension rods but it not resolve the UL issue - still gave UL code even when run with no clothes in load -so I called Maytag for service.(Purchased REPAIR PLUS 1 which covers this repair and one year maintainence contract). Tech from local subcontractor service came out and said it was the bearing. I am still waiting for repair 10 days later because service contract required "approval" before he could order parts (7) including rotor and sensor although to fix bearing tech should only need bearing kit & tool to pull old bearing.

My top load Bravos washing machine wobbles during spin cycle.

Most likely suspension rods and bushings need replacing. Also check outer tub ring. Sometimes it will break from beating on sides of washer, behind where water comes out.

UL bravo error code

Unbalanced load? Don't over stuff the washer. The load sensing moves the drum back and forth at the start. If it can't balance the load it will err.

My oasis he is not a see through top but i keep getting the ul message and when it goes through the spin cycle it sounds like ajet engine. iS THERE A SENSOR THAT NEEDS REPLACED.Sears wants 129.00 to just...

UL is unbalance load. uL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an
off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a
mini-cycle to rebalance the load.
Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the
load.If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door
lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and
redistribute the load. Page 57 shows the suspension
rod removal to get the tub out. These rods (4) hold the tub in place. Sorry I do not have an oasis manual but this Bravos manual will give you an Idea. One of those rods could be worn to the point it is throwing the the whole tub off. If a rod is broken then the tub could be pressing against the base and binding the motor, causing that noise. You gonna have to check and see.
