Can I get phone service for my beneve 1031. It is a phablet right? I just want to get a sim card to get internet along side my WiFi capabilities

Well if you bought it from Walmart it should have came with a sim card..It's pay as you go...Slide over to where you see tools...then open settings...you will see wifi and internet connections...While on wifi hit search. If there are any servers close to you without a password....You can connect to the internet for free... Without aa activated sim card your phone won't work....but there are internet phones your can download while in wifi...Try Viper....as long as you and a friend have Viper installed and on wifi internet...you talk for free...They will send you a phone number...And to all you Verizon owners...The 4G lite sim card fits the ZTE Walmart pay as you go phones..They follow the sim cards...not the phone. The ZTE phone comes with a sim card but it's not 4G lite....you might can pay more for it...I don't know...But it you are already a Verizon Customer..You can buy a ZTE Walmart pay as you go phone for like 29.99..Swap the sim cards..out your 4G lite card in the phone and all your information is swapped over immediately without doing anything else...And you don't have to buy refill cards...You just pay your regular Verizon phone bill...The ZTE phones are smart phones...will play you tube.... And there's yet another secret...well was one...download foxfi.... It it works pay like 8.00 lifetime fee. It throws the Internet from your phone to iPads or any wifi... Remember Verizon only allows but si much hot spot...Foxfi goes around it and no extra charges.....Come on guys a good feed back for me would be nice....Maybe I will tell you how to get freee home internet legally...I don't break the laws.. Like Donald Trump said to Hilary Clinton about paying taxes....He said I only do what you allowed me to do...And He's right....He just knows the loopholes....

You need a sim card to make phone calls.................

Somewhere on the phablet there is a sticker with the imei and serial number it may be under the battery or inside the case
and it should be on the box it came in
it will be a white sticker with very small lettering and probably barcodes

You need to use a service that supplies data. Voice only will work to make voice calls, but won't have a data plan associated with it. Data only plans will work, after a fashion, but you would need to use Skype to make voice calls...

So a voice+data plan assigned to a SIM is what you need to use a phablet properly.

possibly your location , or service provider. Also is your phone connected to home or work wifi or your service provider sim card.

The SIM tray near the battery allows you to connect to Internet or Dial. Sometime the Laptop/Netbook doesn't allow you to access your laptop/netbook. I suggest reseting your laptop will help you.

If your laptop is capable of using wifi through a cellular phone provider then you will use the sim card that comes with the service you purchase from a specific cellular service provider. So if you haven't purchased a service with anyone yet I would suggest contacting a provider in your area, i.e, AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, etc. Then after you purchase service with them for this cellular internet they will send you a sim card to put into the laptop which will then allow you to get on the internet.
