I need to reset my 10 inch Ryobi table saw and there is no reset button on the switch as it says it is. No reset button on it at all. How can I reset it?

No reset! Thermal overload and cut out due to load. Let it cool down and make sure the blade is sharp and you are cutting within guidelines of instruction booklet.

This manual shows where a reset switch should be. Sometime the motor will have a reset button on it. This manual also has a troubleshooting guide.

I have had to remove the brushes from the motor and clean the sawdust out.

SOURCE: Table saw won't turn on.

that reset is breaker and I would think that it should click when reset. I looked at a breakdown and the part number for the breaker is OLSL list 2.16 and they are in stock at Searspartsdirect.com If you have a volt ohms meter I would check the electrical starting at plug end of cord thru the breaker. Make sure you unplug tool before attempting. I would also take a look at the brushes for excessive wear and sawdust buildup. Let me know if I can help more

SOURCE: ryobi bt 3000 table saw belt installation diagram

The BT3000 actually has TWO v-belts! Here's a link at the end of this solution to an exploded diagram. Basically you have a major disassembly, but it really isnt that complicated.

More great info on the BT3000 is available from the web site http://bt3000.com/

I have a BT3100 saw, and it is a good tool, but does require attention in maintenance procedures, but Ryobi did outline the necessary steps in their manuals. The above website also has the owner manual if you need one.

  1. Unplug saw
  2. Remove the blade
  3. Lower mechanism all the way to the bottom
  4. Flip over saw and lay on it's top
  5. Remove the blade guard panel opposite the motor
  6. Unbolt the motor assembly and remove the belt cover
  7. Replace the broken belts
  8. Re-assemble (be careful not to cross-thread the bolts in the aluminum housings!)

SOURCE: hi i need to rewire my ryobi table saw switch thanx lee

What I do is to take a photo of the wiring and effected area so I can refer to it when I get lost. Just replace each wire one at a time from the old switch to the new. Good luck

SOURCE: How do I change the blade on my Ryobi 10" table saw?

The manual is posted on line. Changing the blade does not require turning the saw over, blocks of wood or vice grips. The advice listed above is potentially damaging to your equipment.

Replacing the brushes in the RTS10 10 inch Ryobi table saw

Take right side panel off (right as looking at front of table saw). Side panel will be held in place with 8 small Phillips screws. Take flat screwdriver and unscrew round brush holder on either side of
motor. Brushes are held in place with springs and fastener. Flick small fastener with fingernail and fastener and spring should pop out. Pull out fastener/spring/brushes(all one piece). Replace with new brushes (about $8/piece on ebay).

My ryobi BTS10 won't start.

The Ryobi does have an overload protector (PN 452110003) inside the switch box. It should be resettable from a small hole to the right of the switch on the front of the cabinet. If not, you may have to go into the switch box to check it out/reset it. If the overload protector is OK, I'd check the condition of brushes and brush springs next.
