In the back side of the feeder mechanism are located 2 solenoids, you need to clean them both

SOURCE: doc feeder jam (hp 3050)

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: Canon MX330 - trying to use ADF. No doc inside on

Canon Pixma MX330, ADF error, Code : 2,103,0
Here's what I found. There were no stuck gears or pieces of plastic caught anywhere.
The ****** can still feed paper, except for (consistently) the last page -->error/stuck.
1) In order to CLEAR THE ERROR you need to do two things
a) & b):
a) Press OK, WITH THE HOOD OPEN, with a piece of paper loaded in the ADF, being careful to grab the paper manually as it comes out of the bottom of the hood.
b) Windex the strip of glass surface which sits under the ADF next to the platen. This needs to be done with attention to minute detail, and a bright LED flashlight; since ink smudges off of documents and collects on the glass with alarming frequency. The machine may think these smudges are caught/jammed paper.
2) In order to SCAN a stack of paper, add one blank sheet to the bottom of your document. This page will be the one that
fails to clear the ADF, generates an error, and must be manually cleared before the next job.
The rest of your pages will have already scanned.

Repeat Every Time You Use it

Why is my photocopier only printing half a page?

Sounds like one of the sensors in the doc feeder that detects the size of the paper has gone bad.

Also, make sure you always close the document feeder when making copies. Sometimes it helps to put a blank sheet of paper over the back of a small object if you're copying something small.

I would like a review on the Canon imagerunner 3570.

Hello joy,
I have worked on copiers for 23 years, primarily Canon. I personally think its a great little copier. As with all models of copiers it has a quirk or two. The document feeder needs a few adjustments to minimize multi sheet feeding. But all things considered, when I get a service call on a an IR "70" series copier I feel no stress. Very dependable. The IR 70 series is feature rich out of the box and may be "expanded" in many ways. Lord I sound like a salesturd. But anyway that's just one opinion. Good day to you ! :-) SPINAL

The ADF takes more than one sheet at a time on the Cannon IR 5000

either something is jammed in it somewhere like a paperclip or post-it note, or the separation pad may be worn. the small rubber separation pad can be found in the hatch above the ADF, it may be possible to flip it over and continue to use it, or can be replaced easily.
The part number is FF3-3984-000

When I print on my Canon MP730, it always prints out a blank page after every print job. How can I fix this?

SOLUTION(S): Reset the Sheet Feeder Gears
If the power fails while the paper is feeding or during a print job, the paper feed gears will lose their proper
alignment. The reason is that after the power is restored the paper feed gears will attempt to return to the
home position, which may not be possible if the paper stop cam is not in the correct position.
PROCEDURES
1. Remove the sheet feeder from the unit.
2. Remove the sheet feeder motor from the sheet feeder assembly.
3. Remove the drive gear from its spindle.
4. Realign the lifting tray gear and paper stop cam gear.
5. Reinstall the drive gear and sheet feeder motor.
6. Reattach the sheet feeder to the print unit.
7. Reassemble the unit.
