I have taken the fan off the venmar bistro vbldf1 for cleaning and can’t get it back into place. It doesn’t seem to push up far enough. What am I doing wrong?

SOURCE: fan noise

Since you can hear noise in the fan or coming from the fan, I would say you need to take it off. I do not know how old your tv is but I can tell you that quiet fans in lcd as well as plasma tvs the size of yours are notorious for collecting lint and dust from the air as they try to cool the heat sunk components on your printed circuit boards and power supply. I would first take the back off and be sure to unplug it first. If you are standing on carpet, be sure to touch the frame once it is open so you can discharge any static electricity that you may have. You will be able to readily see that the quiet fan has a small connector connected to the power supply board (usually). Do not worry it is keyed so that you cannot plug it in backwards. Unplug it and undo the screws (usually 4) holding the fan to the back cover. Unless your tv is brand new, I know you will find considerable lint and dust on it (more if you have the tv in a carpeted room). Use some type of compressed air to dust it off (clean canned compressed air (usually sold at Radio Shack or other electronic supply businesses have them). Its like a can of wd40 with a straw nozzle except it sprays clean (not moist) compressed air. A regular air compressor has a tendency to spew out some moisture and that is not good for any electronic component. A good air output on a vacuum cleaner would also work. When you turn the fan by hand you will be able to see a very small opening around the whole circumference where it is turning. Try to blow some air into that to force out any lint and dust that might be there. If the problem is that the bearing inside the fan is drying up like wheel bearings on a car, you need to lubricate it. If it is noise that you can hear, then as you hold it in your hand you will also be able to feel it as you turn it manually. I have always used what is called clock oil or machine oil but in a spray can. Spray very little through the opening that you see around the circumference, but just a little at a time and turn it by hand. It only takes a couple of small sprays to quiet the fan down. If it does not, then you can replace it yourself by taking it to an electronics supply house and they can match it for you so the replacement fits where it is suppose to. If there are any tv repair shops around you close by take it to them as they may have one that is used buy still quiet from the ones they strip off tvs that they could not fix. To put it back is obvious. you will have to splice the two wires on the new one to the old one so that you still have use of the keyed connector on the end of the original fan. Good luck and God bless you. Robert

SOURCE: how to install adjustable bolt brace

You are right--they did something wrong, either the wrong belt or incorrect belt routing. Most likely they used a too-long belt. Take it back and complain.

SOURCE: I can't get the beater

Get a copy of the Repair Part List for your model at Kitchenaid.com
Constant pushing of the beater onto the Agitator shaft (40) can cause
it to be pushed in too far into the Planetary (33). With the beater in place,
use a rubber mallet to slightly tap the edges of the beater and push the
shaft out until you can see the retaining clip.
Now you have enough clearance on the shaft to push the beater upward
and twist it to remove it.

Gaggenau oven not self cleaning.

The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. It sounds like your control board is fried. Try turning it of at the breaker for 15 minutes by way of a reset.

Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here

My Wurlitzer 2100 doesn't make any selections.

It sounds like you have already made some progress in troubleshooting your Wurlitzer 2100 jukebox. Based on the information you provided, it appears that the issue may lie with the strength or alignment of the hammers (Fig.52 #9) in hitting the pins in the pin bank. Here are a few suggestions to help you resolve the problem:
1. Check the alignment of the hammers: Ensure that the hammers are properly aligned and positioned to strike the pins. Make sure there are no obstructions or misalignments preventing them from making contact.
2. Adjust the hammer strength: If the hammers are not hitting the pins with enough force, you may need to adjust their strength. This can typically be done by adjusting the tension or position of the spring mechanism that controls the hammers. Refer to the Wurlitzer manual for instructions on how to adjust the hammer strength.
3. Verify the solenoid function: Since you mentioned that some letter solenoids don't seem to push far enough or don't work at all, it's important to ensure that the solenoids themselves are functioning correctly. Double-check the connections and wiring of the solenoids to ensure they are properly installed. Test the solenoids individually to see if they activate and extend fully when triggered. If necessary, clean the solenoids and their contacts to ensure proper operation.
4. Review the start and reverse switches: Since you mentioned that adjusting the start and reverse switches seemed to have an impact on the selections playing, it's possible that these switches may need further adjustment or cleaning. Check the switches for any dirt or debris that could be affecting their functionality. Make sure they are making proper contact and are in the correct positions according to the manual.
5. Seek professional assistance: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it might be worth consulting a professional jukebox technician who specializes in Wurlitzer models. They will have specific knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing these jukeboxes and can provide further guidance or assistance.
Remember to exercise caution when working with electrical components and always disconnect the power source before conducting any repairs or adjustments. Good luck with fixing your Wurlitzer 2100 jukebox!

Why won`t the fan of my venmar range hood turn off?

Sounds like you may need to replace the fan switch. The fact that it wont turn off and that it only works on low speed supports that switch is broken.
