My mom's heat in her mobile home isn't working. She has an Intertherm feh-015ha inside furnace. Furnace will only turn off at breaker. Blower not working. Any idea where I should start looking?

Symptoms: -she said she walked by the furnace and noticed the air around/coming from the furnace was hot - temperature on the thermostat kept rising (it was in the 90s)? -no air was coming from vents/blower not working (will not run even when you turn thermostat to "on" or "auto") -Furnace would not turn off using thermostat (had to turn it off at breaker). Also, I want to mention that she's had to have the thermostat replaced 3 times over the last few years.

SOURCE: Intertherm E1EH-015HA FURNACE no heat

Sounds like a downflow electric furnace? If so it sounds like you have 15kw worth of electric heat, you might have a defective heating sequencer, witch is what they call a dual on one plate.

SOURCE: Blower will not shut off on furnace.

If your blower will not shut off from the thermostat, you either have a bad thermostat or your red and green thermostat wires are exposed to each other.

SOURCE: I NEED A FILTER FOR MY 1991 HOBILE HOME FURNACE

Best things to do is find your Return grill in the home.
Get a measuring tape and measure the Hole size with the grill removed, Or filterback grill whatever the case.
Then simply go to a home retailer with the size, or in rare cases you may want to consider a Hogs hair washable filter that can be cut to size, to fit it perfectly.

SOURCE: I have a mobile home with Intertherm electric

You could possibly have a bad sequencer. Turn off the power and check the normally open connections with an ohmmeter. If they are not open then it is bad.

Intertherm FEH-015HA. Why does it keep opening breaker?

Avery, if the breaker is properly sized, there is something in the circuit that is causing higher than normal resistance such as possibly loose connections on one end or the other. Check the 'minimum circuit ampacity' (for circuit A and possibly circuit B) on the heater tag and make sure the correct size breaker has been installed. That should be a 15 kw furnace and could either be a dual circuit or a single circuit heat strip. Fifteen kw correlates to approximately 60 amps at 240 volts.

TURN OFF THE POWER and check the connections inside the furnace terminal block for discoloration and tightness. If its a dual circuit, there will be two breakers to turn off. Check to see if it is a dual circuit and if so, see if someone has paralleled those two circuits together inside the furnace. If so, you have to make sure the appropriate single circuit wire and single breaker has been installed.

It is usually recommended to run the separate circuits to the furnace instead of paralleling them together.

Good luck and whatever you do...BE SAFE ABOUT IT .

I have a 1987 Intertherm FEH-015HA electric furnace. The issue I am having is that my blower will not shut of unless I pull the disconnect. My thermostat will operate the heating elements like normal,

You most likely have a bad fan limit / cycling switch. If you kill the power to the furnace see if you can trace the wires from the motor to where the connect to the switch. It looks like a round button with tabs sticking out of it for the wires to connect. Mark down where the wires were connected and take it to a HVAC business or furnace supply house. Be sure to have the model off the furnace with you so you can get the correct parts.

Intertherm furnace burner comes on, but blower does not. If I turn thermostat off then back on until it clicks the fan will then come on. It does not do this all of the time, just now and then.

Furnace burner and heat element are not the same. I think the fan time delay, a sensor that turns the fan on when this sensor senses heat, is shot and needs replacing, for a furnace type heat ( gas heat)

My furnace will not turn on it is a intertherm feh 015ha. Every time I turn on the breaker the fuse pops really loud in the furnace and turns it off again. How can I figure out what is wrong if I cant even...

I would suspect your evaporative motor (located in the furnace) is shorted.
To prove it - just disconnect the electrical wires to the motor and turn the breaker back on.
Most likely the breaker will stay on - which will tell you for sure that the motor is shorted.
Note: it's possible that the capacitor on your motor is shorted - but I doubt it. i would bet on the motor. In any event - you have a 'direct short' which is causing your breaker to pop, and I would bet it's the motor.
If it isn't the motor you will just need to find the 'short' to keep the breaker from popping.
