How do I deactivate GPRS on Alcatel mobile phone model 20-45x

to connect to the internet you must activate the GPRS first from your network provider ...The best thing you can do is to contact the customer care of your network provider and ask for the activation of GPRS ...
they will tell you the procedure to activate it ....
they will tell the number to which the message to be sent to recieve the settings ....
so note that down and then follow the procedures told by them ...
you will receive the gprs settings(profile) also ... make sure of the charges with them there will be many plans & then get activated ...
after this you will able to connect to internet ....
if the customer people tell you that your handset is not compatible for the receiving of the profile settings then you must tell them to give the manual settings(includes ip address,APN,etc) so that you can only create the profile and input the information given by the customer care people...

dear,

if you have to pay for it to telenor then u have to ask to your service provider to deactive it but if you are not paying for it then just delete the settings in "gprs setting" that have been sent by telenor to you.

koi bhi service provider aap ko setting bhejta hai tu woh messages ki form mein aati hai or setting mein ja kar fix ho jati hai.. ab mujhe nahi pata k telenor ko pay krna parta hai ya nhi...yani paisey us waqt to kattey hi hain laikin agar telenor ne koi package diya hai to subsription k waqt bhi kattey honge.. aap deikh lo aapko do options di hain.

I have this mobile too
go to setting -> connectivity -> data account -> GPRS -> options -> create
to create a data account ( input your APN setting, etc. )
back to connectivity ( or go back to main menu -> WAP ) -> edit profile -> SIM1 ( or SIM2 ) -> create
to create a WAP profile, input the homepage, etc. Select the data account you created
( Don't forget to check "Select SIM card" setting in profile to choose right SIM )

Please call the Customer Care of your Network Operator and ask for the GPRS settings, they will send you it via message, install the setttings and then restart the phone and after that you can use internet on your phone.
