How to restore existing Facebook account to desktop

The easiest way to do that is to have two different mail addresses, each with a different browser. That's something that everybody should have. Then you simply open accounts in each. Example: I have a gmail account and a Yahoo mail account. I have a Facebook account under each address. Since every browser can go down and every mail system can go down it makes sense to have two accounts.

You can activate your Facebook by just signing in again. :)

Well, it would be better to help you if you mentioned how you tried to get on your facebook account. If I am not wrong, you account is this one (click HERE.), if so, I hope it's still accessible without any problem. Use your email address and the password to log in to your facebook account. Enter your email address address in the first box i.e. "Email" on this page.. click HERE, (top of the page).and then enter your password you assigned when you signed up for facebook account, and then click "Login". There you are in your account. But if you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot Your Password?" and follow the instructions.

if you attempted to delete your account, you have an allotted time to log back in to cancel the account termination. once you log back in your account is restored. after 3-4 of the request to delete the account, it is permanently deleted.

if it has been less than 4 weeks, try logging back into the account. this will cancel the termination of the account.

install an alternative web browser or reinstall your existing one

if yyou deactivwted it already, all the information there will be lost. that's why when you are trying to retrieve the account, it says that it doesn't exist. there's no way to bring it back.

You cannot create a new account if your current profile still exists. Facebook will match your name and other personal information to your old account and deny you the ability to create a new account. You must first delete your old account by contacting them. Why can you not access your old Facebook account?

Well, I just checked from my Facebook account, it looks like you do still exist on there, so that's good first step.


I think the problem you're running into after your brother used your computer is that it's logged into his account instead of yours.

To solve that, go to facebook.com.
Then, click "Account" (upper right corner) and click "Logout".

Now, you can log in by typing your email address in (upper right, again, where it says "email") and then entering your password (if it doesn't fill it in automatically for you).

Then just hit "Login" and you should be all set.
