Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

SOURCE: How to replace the hard drive of a gateway

Both of you, repeat after me, "I don't know".....Don't give the guy generic, cheap answers or try to get him to use some app.

The guy is going to have to wing it with those kinds of answers. Youtube can be a blessing or a nightmare and, in his case, if you lead him to the wrong video, he could end up breaking something....geez.

The problem with all-in-one machines are like every other computer, they're not all made the same. Some have compartments that can be unscrewed and easy access while others have to have their screws removed and some companies, and it pains me to say this, "glues" some of their case parts least some of the earlier models did. That's why they want you to send it to the factory, they probably don't pay $5 for a new plastic case there.

I'm doing one today. It's got a 3 screw lockdown at the bottom and there's going to be a bit of "pop-off" work around the foundation to get it off. It's model where the case is just put on behind the whole foundation.

But there is a black panel (above the back stand) that needs to be popped out and the screws removed first

I hate these kinds of units because they always have one part that can break if you apply the wrong pressure....but this is Gateway we're talking about :P

I have a 2004 Acura MDX Touring Model with a non-working DVD player for the flipdown screen for my backseat passengers. It was working fine but suddenly stopped working this past spring. When you put a dvd...

The trim panel around the NAV unit just pops out, there are 4-6 screws which hold the NAV unit in place. Disconnect the wires (they only fit in the correct holes) and pull it out.

This video is for a 2006, but might help you anyway.

Vehicle DVD not working

1. Makes sure DVD is clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cotton cloth.
2. Tray another DVD
3. The DVD player laser lens is dirty. You can get DVD cleaning disc at almost any electronics store and give it a try.
4. If none of the above work then it's likely the DVD player has failed.
(Oh, and if you are a new owner make sure you're using the DVD player located at the console base near the floor, the one on upper dash is CD only.)

Six disc dvd player problem

First remove the drink tray by pulling out and push down on lever in back. Then remove strip below dvd player. (this will pop off). There is 2 mounting screws behind it.Remove those. Then put a thin blade on side of silver trim. Gently pry and trim will pop off. there is 2 mounting screws behind trim for dvd player. Remove those and slide out dvd player and remove wiring harness. This is for 2005 town and country van. Now if I could only fix my dvd player. Good luck.

A dvd is stuck in my Chrysler town and country multi disk dvd/ cd player. How do I remove it?

Look around the face plate for a very small hole...use a straightened paperclip or equivalent and press in a few inches...its a manuel door release and you should gain access to at least the loading tray.

Dvd player not working on 06 Honda Odyssey

The Honda dealer just wanted to replace my entertainment center without even troubleshooting and I wasn't convinced that it was "broken" so I found the FIXYA website and saw that others had the same problem and I followed their instructions and it now works fine. I am going to call the Honda dealer to complain because they should have known this.

We simply pulled the fuse out and put it back in and then reset the radio code!

Headset for 2006 Volvo XC90 DVD player

If the car is certified and the dvd player is factory the system is required to work to pass certification.

First, Look in the owners manual to make sure your doing it right.

Second, go back to the dealership and see your salesman, they should be happy to get it fixed for you.

Third, take it to the service department. The car is certified, so when the policy takes effect the service department will fix it for whatever the deductible is.

Fourth, Call Volvo customer relations and tell them about your issue.

Hope this helps.
