SOURCE: change oil in riding lawn mower

look at the side of the engine down low. There should be a pipe plug screwed in that has a square head. Put a drain pan under the area and remove this plug and the oil will drain out. It's best if the engine is warm. You should get 1 1/2 quarts of oil out of it. Let it drain for about 5 minutes and then re-install the pipe plug. Add 1 1/2 quarts of 30W oil and then cut the grass !

SOURCE: I need a routing diagram

Your best bet would be to go to your local dealer. They can help you with any questions you may have, show you diagrams with possible print outs, or supply you with any parts you may need for your machine. GOOD LUCK.

Blade belt diagram for John Deere LX178 Riding

Remember the belt rule, V of the belt goes in V pulleys.Flat pulleys that are stationary or move get the back of the belt. You can figure it out. Its not rocket science. Remember at some point there has to be a tensioner, usually gets the back of the belt if its a flat pulley. U may have to remove the spring and then reattach the spring after the belt is routed.
