My luxor 55inch tv keeps turning itself off then back on how do I fix it

Luxor is a budget brand made in Turkey for the Swedish market. You likely have failing components, probably electrolytic capacitors. You put the set on, they warm up and fail. They can be replaced but you are better to invest in a new set by one of the major makers like Samsung, Sony or LG. A quick search shows they have some history of faulting

They are aimed at the budget end of the market and televisions with built in DVDs are very much a compromise in quality.

I'd buy a new TV, it's not worth fixing if it's 4 yrs old and manufactured by a company that went bankrupt

Is the picture ok when it's on?

May sound silly but change batteries in remote I had same problem twice but both times I charged batteries and it worked

I believe there is only a off and on...you will need the remote, or a replacement one if yours doesn't work

It could be either your mother board or your power board not circulating the power distribution to the t.v. properly.
There is nothing you can do to fix it.

I just pull out the mains plug for a few seconds then put it back in. The red light keeps flasing for a while (be patient) then stays solid red. When I then switch on again with the remote it is fine. I often have to do this.
